Anyone play? or learning?

Picked up a cheap accoustic at Christmas time and am just starting to learn. It's way more difficult than i thought it would be. Strangely addictive though.

I can NEARLY play an AWFUL version of Nothing Else Matters.

Subject/verb disagreement.

I have wanted to start again. I broke my hand in a fight in hockey camp and stopped playing. Guitar not hockey. The doc formed my cast around my stick and I had my glove modified to still play.

What kind of stuff do you all play? I've made a mental list of songs i'd eventually like to be able to play on guitar...some Metallica stuff, Cat Stevens songs , even a couple of the backstreet boys ones because i've heard they sound good on guitar. Quite a random list i know.

I have a steel string guitar at the moment but probably prefer classical style songs.

My starter guitar was a '77 Les Paul standard. I don't recommend it as a starter, very unforgiving!

Don't forget to play nothing but harmonic minor scales........fast.......very fast....
