I do know what you are talking about. And while it certainly sets the table for drama, a) I (we) am trying to go about it in an undramatic manner and b) this may be the only exception to my no-drama rule - it is worth it. Makes sense?

yes, it makes sense because you may learn that some people don't WANT the drama that sometimes finds them.
while it is definately true that some people seek it and THRIVE off of it (beachedwhale), for most people, when it strikes, people have been thinking the same as you, that they knew the risk they were taking and felt it was worth it, and the chances of it blowing up in their face is too small to worry about.
then they look back and think "WTF was i thinking????? I don't want all this fucking drama!"
but by then, its too late and its sitting in your lap like a drunken hooker.
