Guessing BF %? HOW??

This is quite random.....but is there any way to really make a BF% estimate from just stats?

What all numerical stuff would you need?

Maybe height/weight/lifts?

By lifts I mean benching 2X bodyweight, etc?

I am trying to figure something out.

You can take an educated guess by a visual, dont think stats will give you a great amount of help
 
Okay, I have a question on this topic. I started working out (again) about two months ago and went right into the cutting phase as I have always wanted a 6 pack. Two months ago, I couldn't even imagine seeing my abs. I had 18% body fat. Well, two months later I can count to six on them for the first time in my life and it is clear that I will be able to pull off an 8 pack. They are looking pretty good when flexed, but I still have some flub on my lower abs. I have also put on a bit of muscle. (bonus)
The gym took my BF% when I started. I bought a BF scale the other day. Stepped on it expecting to see about 14 - 15 tops. Guess what? 18! I thought WTF? Stepped on it 20 times since. 18. When I come out of the shower. 17. I just got back from the gym and stepped on it. 16.
I don't know what to think.
 
Unless you have it measured by professionals, you'll just have a rough estimate with a high margin of error

well, is that in Canadian body fat? ;)
 
This is the best i can think of
you have clear abs with no flexing (and without walking into NJrippeds house of shadows) 0-10%
You can see abs when flexed in all lighting 0-15%
You can only see abs when flexed in better lighting (not in every mirror) 15-19%
You can never see abs 19%+
 
I can see all my abs with obliques flexed. I am at 8% to 10% on average. But i really think BF% is over rated, aslong as I can see my abs I am happy I dont care what my BF is. I feel the same about the scale i dont care what i weigh as long as my measurements keep going up I am ok.

Also if I change my carb intake my cuts deepen, which is a trick I use
