Makes a difference, doesn't it? Question is, does it take away or add to the effectiveness of the exercise?
I have noticed lately that when I am doing flyes on the flat bench it seems easier when I allow my hands to slide towards one side of the dumbell until my thumb is almost touching a plate. Maybe I would get more work from the weight if I keep my grip firmly in the center during the movement.
Noticed the same thing yesterday when I was doing single arm rows. Any ideas on this? The only exercise where I know it is beneficial to adjust the grip in the manner described is when working delts with side raises.
