Green Customs Tape

The customs "Green Tape" says "Customs CN22". Apparently this is a sticker they put on mail when they open the mail for whatever reason to let you know it has been opened. This sticker has "photo frame" written in the description and "gift" is checked by the Customs Agent, as he certified there was no dangerous goods.

Since I recevied the package, I guess they opened it looked inside, did not unwrap the paper and did not see the amps or any dangerous goods. Taped my package closed and sent it to me. I always keep a clean shop when I am expecting postcards and things, but should I be worried by this notice on my package? It would appear the way it was packaged, kept the customs agent from truly seeing the "postcard" and he let it through.

Should I be overly concerned about a search warrant or swat team regarding this package? It obviously raised a flag with the customs agent. No signature was required, and my contact said the regular delivery person dropped off the package. Has the address I used been entered in a database? Should I carry on and consider my self lucky this order was not seized?

Sh4dowf4lcon -- please do not go into detail of how your package was "packaged" by whomever sent it to you... this information is sensitive and I would hate for someone's shipping methods to be discovered or fall into the wrong hands...

You are right, that was alot of detail to post. I was intending to give detail, so I could get an answer as to whether or not I should be concerned for a search warrant.

In other words, is it possible the Customs official knew what was in the layers of paper and allowed it to go through, so they could get a search warrant?

Do you have an opinion on this matter? If they know what it is do they seize immediately 100% of the time? Or once in a while does a postcard get through in order to justify a search warrant?

The other question is whether or not the address would have been entered in a database?

Thanks for your input, and if the thread is "too sensitive" then, by all means, delete it. I did not intend to post "sensitive" info, but I can see your point.

Can you give me an opinion on the questions I have asked?

Hmm... I think I know what you are asking.

First of all, they don't always seize what they are opening up. Secondly, if they see something in there, they may seize the illegal or controlled goods and then send along the rest of the package, following it up with a letter saying "we have your stuff, if you want it come claim it" -- which you should never do.

Also, if they feel they have enough for a controlled delivery, they can do that route too... basically they will attempt to deliver it to you and get it into your possession... once it is in your possession, they have what it takes for a warrant.

I'm not sure they have that NOW... as they aren't sure if you are in possession of the package... also, your address could be red flagged in customs if anything was taken out of the package.

In regards to your other question, there are many ways a customs official can tell what is in your package, without opening it... however, many times it has to be opened in order to determine WHAT it is they see. Also, many customs agents aren't really versed on AAS ... so they might not realize what it is and let it go by.

Hope this helps you out a little.

or...it may have been the end of shift...the agent may have already had several confiscation reports to do...the agent may have been on a detail that only responded to certain kinds or amounts of contraband, the agent may not give a shit about steroids, etc...

bro if it came to you then its yours. if they wanted you they would get you with controlled delivery. there is no way they will send it to you and then wait a day to come to you cause it maybe already gone. your safe.
