graffiti removal

some kids spraypainted my fence with letters, probably some gang. the paint is white and there are only three letters, but i am having trouble removing it.

my fence is a natural wood. i tried handsanding it but was not too successful. i can't really paint over it because the wood is not painted.

any suggesstion on how to get rid of these letters? do i need an electric sander?

graffiti is cool as hell but not on someones private property

you need paint remover or a sander most likely.. check to see if the paint remover messes up the color of the wood before you apply it everywhere

thanks tom, i was thinking you could buy a home type of sand blaster at home depot. have you heard of this? i can't be the only person who has had this type of problem.

I watch a show on TV a long time ago where they came up with some type of a chemical solution that removed graffiti's from stone walls. Do some research on google.

i live in an area that is quite nice but only a few blocks away is kind of rough. a couple of neighbors of mine also got hit. best to remove this kind of thing to discourage it. part of being a homeowner.

Our hood got a walk thru by some teens over the holidays and all's they did
was setup all the lighted reindeer things in peoples yards like they were humping each other..

i live in a rough area (yall seen the ghetto i live in) and unfornatlly i always see the spray paint on houses and fences etc. the only way ever see them clean it up is just paint over it

one time on my appartment complex they used a special grafti removal and didnt work that well. ..

another thing that drives me crazy is people letting their dogs shit on my lawn and don't clean it up!!!!!

my lawn is my pride and joy. i slaved on it all summer, killing weeds, installing and adjusting automatic sprinklers, reseeding dead areas, fertilizing, dethatching, and now it is dark green and thick. then some asshole leaves their big old dog dumps on my lawn. $#^@*!. wish their was something i could do about this.

I specialized in adding graffitti to the streets but hitting residential areas is pussy work, must be gangs or teenage bucks trying to learn the ways of the bold. Real graffitti thugs bomb the freeways, billboards and busy streets. Don't know anything about removing it, aside from painting over it, since I always wanted my shit to last.

Would using a furniture stripper work on something like that? I think it is called Kutzit. It's a kind of thick gel you can paint on the fence and you let it sit for a few minutes and then wipe it off. Might take several applications though.

i dont know about that 4ever, dont want it all in the blades and all...i just take a trowel and throw it in a bag.

boy never thought i would be so into my lawn. there is something so satisfying about working your ass off getting your lawn in shape and seeing it all dense and green. makes the house and gardens look so much sharper. i even found a website called Lawn Care Forum i frequently visit.
