Govt. listening through cell phones

crazyjoe

New member
Anybody see this the other night on CNN I think. Apparently even if your cell phone is off, the Govt. can somehow still hear whats going on through the earpiece. The only way to avoid this is by taking out the battery. they said the govt. uses this technology to supposedly keep tabs on high profile mob members.

Old news.....

Cell phones can run standardized code such as java... even if it was strictly proprietary code... You have a microphone, a digital transport....

it's not just the government that can activate the microphone.

The right skills and private citizens can not only eavesdrop on you they could:

1. Activate your microphone and port the audio to a phone of their choice for listening.
2. Track your GPS coordinates.
3. Turn on the 'SPEAKER' and speak to you.
4. Change your ring tone to a recorded message that they uploaded to your phone.
5. Etc.

It's a flexible platform, it's limitless and the cell providers don't give a fuck about security.
