Got my power rack

I just got my power rack today:

It was a great delt/forearm workout assembling that . Damn thing weighs like 350 pnds too.

Gotta fix my chain - too high and crooked.

nice rack

mine is a cheap weider rack that's pretty small. it says in the booklet not to load more than 215 lbs. you guys think it's safe to do chain suspended GMs etc with much heavier weights than that? i know that it has some solid pins so i dont think i have to worry TOO much

I got mine too last week and just got it together after cutting it down for my basement. I have`nt used it yet. I was gonna wait and post but I`ll stick it on here.

I`m taking a week off for rest. I know Kingc wanted to know some info about the rack I was getting. It`s pretty solid and holds 1500 pounds I think. It has pullup bars and dipping bars BUT and this is important to ME the distance between the rods (rod length) is 26 inches. that`s too short for me. I`m 6ft 3. I`m sure it`ll be ok but would rather have had the 30+ inch ones.

Mike , How deep is yours 26 or 30`s? It looks like the bigger one.

Mines a cheap Weider as well. I have had no problems with GM's. I hang the chains off the crossbeams on top.

I've also done rack deads off the "pins". 505lbs had no issues at all.

It's heavy duty... I've never seen one so solid. The picture doesn't really do it justice. The pins are heavy! Can't wait to use it tomorrow! The only problem is with racking the weight... you gotta be dead on 'cause there's only about a half inch gap on each side.

I got it at newyorkbarbells.com for $599 + free shipping... Yeah, I coulda got one for 300 or so, but I wanted something I wouldn't outgrow. It's much better than the racks I looked at in the local stores.. what a bunch of overpriced junk.

Yes, front to back. it feels restrictive for a taller guy, but I`m sure it will work fine. Just was`nt expecting that with a rack that holds 1500 when all the other racks said like 800, 900 pound capacity.

I got it mostly for squats and maybe shrugs or partial deadlifts, but mostly squats.

I wish i had room in my basement for such equipment. I highly doubt my gym would allow me to hang chanins off their power rack, but it cna't hurt to ask.

I just ordered from them last Monday and my stuff was here last Thursday (4 days!) also free shipping. The prices were cheap as the stuff I bought was lower end but it was fine for a bench, hyper and roman chair situp equipment.

is the size good? height? i think i'm gonna use the plan from that one and make one the same size if the size is good for everything. would 2" on heighth make that much of difference to make it 84"?

I wish it was a little taller myself. I'm 6'0". I'm happy with width and depth.
