got gear cant get amp open

I got my gear today WOOHOOO but what can i scour the neck of the amp with so it will break clean

There should be a small score alraedy depending have you have. Place a towel over the top and snap. A small file will work if you have one.

use a knife to score the small of the neck then place a pen cap over it and break away from you trying not to squizze the bottom of amp

Are they ICNs?
Go to your local hardware store and you can get a small glass cutter. Go around the neck of the amp and it will practically fall off.

I got I just took a damn dremel tool to that little bastard and scoured it with that heheheh

Any of the above methods will work or you can buy an amp opener, only a couple of dollars, got mine ayt get pinz. The trick is to score the glass one way or another.

The best way to open amps is NOT to snap at the neck, but rather put in a towel and squeeze the bubble on the top portion of the amp. Works like a charm, even on those stubborn ICN's.


No pen cap, file,knife, or amp opener needed. Im surprised I never see this posted as a solution....

Ampules are made to be snapped at the neck. I got some sust made in the u.k by Organon before and it was the best to snap, it was manufactured pre-weakened around the neck area. Then I got this one from greece, i tried to file the bastard and it didnt do much so i just put a towel over it and went for it.

If u bust the bubble at the top of the amp, I beleive this is not wise as minute glass shards may fall into the solution.

Try do it the way it was mean to, snap it at the neck!
