Got a duplicate income tax check in the mail today

So the obvious questions is, should I cash it? I already cashed the "real" one like 2-3 months ago. I'm sure I shouldn't but for those in the know about crap like this, what have you got to say about the situation?

damn, that would be tempting. there has to be a way that you can cash it and just hold the money until they come a callin' on yer ass and then play stupid....but who knows they might not. You could say smehting like well I deposited the "real" one and then your wife saw the duplicate laying around and deposited that.....i don't know.

Yeah I once got a extra social security death benifit check, I actually sent it back to them twice, then the third time I cashed it they didnt do anything, so I thought I was okay.

turns out 2 years later they take it all back without telling me from each one of my paychecks, I then filled a complaint with them and got nowhere.
