I hate when that happens :( I got a bunch of free Optimum Whey strawberry powder once. I loved the taste. Now I am back to Basic Whey from Vitamin World. :( BLAH
 
B, have you looked on www.dpsnutrition.com. They seem to be the least expensive that I can find online (only have ordered protein bars) and have received my shipment in a timely manner. I even screwed up my order online and called the 1-800 number...got great service!

You can even calculate the cost of shipping before committing to an order...

The more advertised it is, the more it costs and I see ABB ads everywhere. I have noticed that prices are going up dramaticly on some products, while dropping on others.
 
Man...that XXL chocolate banana is freakin' great! You're right though, its expensive.

dude, optimum whey is cheap. like 25 bucks for 5 lbs is the best ive seen. ive also seen 10 lbs for 38 bucks before. look around.

My gym owner just starting carrying Optimum Whey, at my request. He has it for $35 for 5lbs. The cheapest that I have seen it before that was for $32 including shipping on ebay.

go to mexico and buy a whole good cycle of test ent for about 35-50$ and it will last you 10 weeks ...
 
dps nutrition has those for $60 plus shipping, probably about another $5. service is good. i have ordered and had products in my hands in two business days.

I used to be able to get five 5lb optimum whey jugs for $100.00, but that place raised it to $130.00. Vitamin World basic whey is $17.00 here on discount day (which is free to join). Thats 80 or 84 servings, 5lb jug. I go through one, sometimes two jugs a week, even spending $5.00 more per jug would break me.

Needsize is right, gear costs way less than powders, etc.
 
Its all expensive here, whether it be protein powder and bars, creatine, or pro-hormones/stimulants/steroids... Doesn't make a difference.
 
I really havent been serious about supplements for about a year....I rely too much on regular food. Just makes me wonder how much better I could be if I was serious about supps.

Along those same lines, I noticed much better gains in both size and strength when I remembered that supplements are just that: Supplements!

I increased focus on eating more real food, and used protein shakes as an in-between meal, and to bump up my calorie and protien intake a bit. They're also very convienent at work.:) But, I never take in more than 2 shakes a day. One post workout and one later in the evening.

I agree with you there. I used to waste so much money on crap that did nothing when I wasn't fully focusing on what mattered most.
 
Those XXL drinks were just an easy to add 1-2,000 kcals to my intake daily. It is good to have a lot of kcals just after training. I'd drink about 3/4 of one as soon as I finished lifting and the other 1/4 as soon as I woke up in the mornings.

My post-workout shake is a 900-1000 calorie weight-gainer with 55gms of protein and 125gms of carbs. Tastes great, and is fairly inexpensive. To bad the only place I can find it anymore is on-line....:(

When I was in highschool I was a fool for supplements. It took lots of $ before I got smart. On that subject anyways.

I think they have there place.

Best tasting of all time that i've tried: Heavyweight gainer by Champion Nutrition-chocolate. That shit is good. And also the old Weider dutch chocolate gainer with peanut butter added. mmmmmmm.

Now I am beyond weight gainers. Just wait till you get older, it will be easy! Right now I am using nothing. I eat so much I would have to replace some of my food with a shake. I couldn't add a shake. I couldn't hold it for one, and I dont need extra weight. Granted im not eating a clean diet. And I get anywheres from 100g to 200 g a day protein. Way low according to estimates, but honestly I never noticed a difference. To give you an idea how much I ate last night I got up at 6am, 3 hours later I have taken 3 huge shits. It's almost breakfast time: 6 large whole eggs scrambled with cheese, 2 pieces of toast, and probably 3/4qt milk. Thinkin about going to the bar for lunch and getting a pound cheesburger with fried mushrooms. Believe it or not, I dont drink in the afternoon. So ill have to go their for dinner also.
 
sportlab has a wicked high calorie gainer way cheaper than the other brands...its a canadian company so I dont think its in stores down there, but there are a few online ones that have it.
The steroidology.com store has it, its called "thicken"

MJixed with milk, it's 930 cals. I get it to over 1000 if I choose to add a small amount of chocolate milk mix, which makes it taste like a malted.:p

Yeah, thats the shit I was talking about. It's by Champion Nutrition. You know, the ones that came up with that $60.00 paint can of metabolol shit with the molecules on the label and everyone thought they were going to be Arnold in 2 days. Including me.
The heavyweight gainer tastes fucking awesome. I thought the vanilla was good, then I tried the chocolate! Man, I think im gonna go buy some right now!

I'm drinkin' mine right now.:D Best tasting stuff I have found and it's reasonably priced comapred to some of the other stuff out there.

No gas trouble here. Well, no more than usual....:D

While were talking about taste, i've heard those banana split mrps by the anabolicstore taste awesome. Lots more $ than HW 900 though. Of course there two diff. things also. I dont think that ive seen much that compares to ingredients/price/taste as HW900.
