Anyone ever set up a website and run this to see how much money it actually pays? I never realized til now, but pretty much every website you visit has it on there.

What if you click the ad yourself over and over, will it still pay you for each click?

It can't be but like 2 cents a click....

Any first hand experience?

I'm not sure
but my company runs a google sponsered link advertisement
so if anyone within a 25 mile radius searches anything to do with my business(30K keywords to do with what I do or sell)
I pull up on the right side and the top with the "big boys"
I only pay if they click on my website
I can track everything, and it blocks IP's from doing this more than a few times
it depends on your budget and what other people are paying to get to the top, is how much each click is gonna cost me.
I ran a 1600$ a month budget
and in three weeks it was gone
my phone has been rining off the hook and I have gotten at least five jobs
and one of them was a $6300 commercial job

How much you pay per click bro? Google pays a commission to the websites that have these ads when people click on them. Google won't tell what % they keep from each click, but it's guessed to be around 60%.

You know all those "Ads by Google" you see on every myspace page advertising stuff that is obviously from keywords on that person's myspace? That's AdSense, and whoever owns MySpace gets paid everytime someone clicks one of those ads on anyone's page.

I'm just curious as to what a typical click pays someone with the ads up.

I think there is a standard rate for "Pay by click". I don't think it's more than .02.

I was told yesterday that this company sbi.com pays 4 cents, I'm looking to start a website and this guy that came by my office has one for archery, he said he's gonna change to them, his buddy has been with them for several years and is happy with them, no contracts or anything...

If anyone knows more about this type of thing post up, I'm wanting learn more before making any moves...
