This board has kept me highly entertained for the past two months, and I think there are alot of awesome people here.

but alas I must take my leave come june 18th and leave off to the british columbia's northern interior, then up to the yukon for 30-40 long grueling days.

I will be cutting brush from around towers sleeping in a scamper camper.

worrying about being eaten by bears, at least I'll have a chainsaw in my hand most of the time, and some bear mace.

you guys are awesome, so goodbye and see you in a while!

(even though I'm not leaving for 18 days yet)...

Post this shit when you leave in 18 days then bor. Its like someone who saya goodbye to everyone at a party then hangs around uncomfortably for a while afterwards.

well, its a good thing you posted this 18 days ahead of time
which, when translated from EF time is like 3 years in advance.

Well fug.. I'm not exactly going to be around much for these 18 daays... (other then incredibly hung over in the morning like now)

good tip.. run downhill..

does playing dead work?

any good workouts outside of a gym, I'm thinking of buying a couple pairs of dumbbells to take up.

no, playing dead means you are dinner..

make yourself as large as possible, but if you surprise a mother and cub, it won't matter, run.. it's better to be fast than strong in those instances..

That actually sounds like fun.

how are my odds at fending off a bear with a chainsaw? also I hear bearmace works really well.

Also they are saying watch out for the natives because they will beat and rob you blind.. fug..

it is going to be a really good time, one of my good friends is actually the foreman so he'll be my boss so to speak for 30-40 days, we're going to do some fishing and whatnot.

we get paid 125 a day if our performance is good and we do an acceptable job, tax free also and the company credit card is paying for all of our food ontop of that. 125 x 40 = 5000 (CASH!!!!!)

plus wages and shitloads of OT, I'll probably come back clearing about 10k.

anymore wonderful helpful advice on how to fight off bears and natives would be appreciated, seeing as there might not always be a hill around!

oh, boy! My cue:
Dear friends and fellow athletes,

It is with a profound sadness in my heart that the entire EliteFitness.com Community bids adieu to {your name here}.

{your name here} really lives up to the quote, "To become truly great, one has to stand with the people, not above them."

You made our community stronger, smarter, and happier. You never asked what the EliteFitness.com Forums could do for you. Rather, you always asked what you could do for the forums. It is that spirit of devotion and generosity that will be sorely missed by all of us here.

And so, in bidding you a fond farewell, I would like to ask that you remember... goodbye for now, does not have to mean goodbye forever. For right now, although all of us here at EliteFitness.com are collectively saying, "{your name here}, we won't forget you..." what we are really saying is that hopefully... "you won't forget us either."
