Good tasting, cheap protein

i need lots of opininos as my last protein (GNC) was quite possibly the worst tasting thing i had to put into my mouth more than once in my life!

Trader Joes Vanilla flavored whey, $8.00 for 1.2 lbs (16 servings.)

16g protein, 1g fat, 12g carbs, 120 cals.

tates good too.

Optimum 100% Whey. Double Rich Chocolate. Get it at DPS.

I just received a 10lb bag of that exact thing via UPS yesterday.

BTW, the strawberry ON was not too tastey. Stay with the chocolate.

Optimum

Optimum Whey Protein - yes....DPS - yes......ADD 1 serving Keto Cocoa to your shake and you'll LOVE it. Mix with water and ice.

topic says it all, what do u use?

from "real" food :
egg whites
tuna
chicken breast

from powder :
proteinfactory.com
allthewhey.com
or any brand in sales

Protein Factory is the way to go man. I just got mine in and it rocks! (granted I have my normal 1 tablespoon of ANPB per scoop.

In all I got: 5lbs. of Ion Exchange Whey Protein Concentrate (4.25/lb) = $21.25
Aminogen added (.75/lb) = $3.75
1 Scoop = .50c
1 Protein Shaker = $3.59
Shipping = 6.59 (they made nothing off of the shippment that I can tell)

Total was $35.68 which I think is pretty good seeing how a lb. of most stuff in any store like Wal-Mart, etc. is about $8.00. Not to mention this stuff is really good and has the best consistency of anything I've tried yet. It mixes very well in water.

Best price: ProteinFactory

Best tasteand guaranteed quality : MET-Rx.

Since I'm a dealer of supplements myself, I get my supps real real cheap so I go with MET-Rx or Ultimate Nutrition, but if I wasn't to be a dealer, I would probably go with proteinfactory, because of their price.

I know a bunch of people here are against soy, but I love it. So, Essential Protein with Fiber by MotherSoy and they do send free samples. Check out their website. I think it is MotherSoy.com
It is completely tasteless and mixes easy with just a stir. Also does not get thick.
70 calories, 16 gm protein, 6 gm carb
Whole Foods 365 brand, their brand, of Soy is cheaper and tastes okay, better than whey, but it does mix a little thicker. Better stats though; don't remember, but protein is higher and it has NO carbs.:alien:

ON chocolate mint whey!!!!

Man, the chocoloate mint whey by optimum nutrition is the shizzle. Also, try pure whey by prolab, it's good too!!

allthewhey chocolate is great. STAY AWAY from vanilla. its one of those flavors where if you eat a small amount, its really good but too much makes you sick (and remember you'll need 3-5 servings of it daily)

allthewhey.com

pure whey isolate, only about $60 for 10 pounds (doesn't count shipping), and service is fast

chocolate is pretty good, vanilla is real good at first, but i got kinda sick of the taste after awhile. haven't tried the strawberry or unflavored. i liked to mix the vanilla with tangerine crystal light....tastes like an orange creamsicle.

yeah more expensive than optimum whey, but better quality since allthewhey has no whey concentrate in it.

cheaper than protein factory (if you buy the ion exchange or CFM whey isolates) and tastes a hell of alot better.

i got the "flavorless" from allthewhey.

its not too bad.

but there is a tase. i like to use it in my shakes w/ oatmeal, anpb, skim milk, half serving of ovaltine.

if i just want the protein without the other calories i take shots of it....pretty sick too.

Word.. The flavorless isn't flavorless and if you mix it in a shaker cup it's clumpy and frothy. I mix it with a spoon on sugar free grape kool-aid and it's pretty good. Dont think I'll use it again though.

optimum nutrition double chocolate.

if you are willing to overpay for taste - then muscle milk cookies 'n cream is the way to go. if you didn't know better, you'd think you were drinking a high-fat, high-carb dessert drink instead of quality protein.

I have never tried a vanilla protein powder that tastes good

Anarchy Power Protein

www.animalkits.be

NO TASTE! Mix in cold water.

Mixes in anything with NO clumping.

(well, you can't mix it into beer or carbonated liquids)

No gas or intestinal distress.

Use in pudding or in your spaghetti sauce or in yogurt or in milk or ice cream or soup. Can be used in bread and cookie recipes.

Thanks and the website is being updated as we speak.

The potassium citrate is great, too.

animal, I remember you used to have Rho/Potassium Citrate, still in?
best stuff ever for sure :o

Hey there,

Welcome to the quest that I've been on for a LONG time. Few facts up front:
1) DPS is not so great, price wise.
2) Protein factory is the sux price-wise.
3) I have used muscledepot to get the ON 100% whey at the best price.
4) That allthewhey site has cheaper protein that muscledepot's 100% whey, but I can't attest to the quality.
5) Do not look strictly at price to total poundage because not all of that poundage is protein and not all proteins have the same percentage.
6) To aid in understanding matters related to number 5 above, I have a spreadsheet - the second page of the spreadsheet in the diet linked in my sig - that helps you determine the best priced pound of protein per dollar.
7) According to that chart, as of now, the most economical source of protein is TUNA! at .50 per 6 oz can, with no shipping cost and a lbs per dollar ratio of .143!

Good luck out there!

Why wont anyone ever try this:

Sci-Fit Econo Whey "Ice Cream Chocolate"

soo good it tastes better with water than milk!

Beverly International's Muscle Provider, Ultra Size, and Mass Maker all taste much better than anything I've ever had, but they aren't real cheap. But on the positive side, they work alot better than Opt. Nut. and many other brands. After all, isn't that why we take protein shakes, for good results.

All the Whey's Response

Hi,

Somebody told me about this thread.

We don't use anti-foaming agents, so you only have to shake a couple of times.

We did have a problem with our mixing property, because the plant installed new equipment. I'm sorry. The problem has been rectified. I offered easy free delivery on the next order.

We do have an 100% money-back guarantee.

We do send free taste samples upon request.

Thanks,

Dom Tricome

A follow-up:

I contacted easy. I don't want him to buy, if he doesn't want to. I want to talk to him about some type of reimbursement.

Thank You,

No worries bro. I'll give it a try again. Like I said, It's pretty good with sugar free grape kool-aid and your prices rock. If the new stuff comes out with no froth then I'm a customer for life.

Animals protein is the best I have tasted in too many years, 40 to be exact- don't make fun of my age!

It mixes with everything and no taste!

25 grams protein per 1/3 cup.

Check out his link on the his previous post, you can't go wrong...

most of animal's products are top notch, no question here :o
but I like customizer's protein because I can design my own blend of micellar, caseinate, egg and isolate, and their quality is that of on par with animal's, and while exceeeding most other manufacturers on the market :martini:
