Any of you guys hit the 983K or 983E by Titleist, if so what shaft do you have in it and do you like it.

I am getting one but haven't decided which shaft to get with it.

I've hit the Kristin, the Alissa, the Megan, the Jen and the .... well i forgot another one i hit.... but sorry i havn't tried the titleist your talkin about

Never played the Titleist. Have you tried the Taylor Made R 580? I think it is an awesome. My advice is to get your clubhead speed measured first and then make a decision on what stiffness you want the shaft. Being as big as you I would expect you swing pretty hard. JMO. Good luck.

Have you played any rounds this year? I'm playing on the American Amature tour this year. Its a blast to play tournament golf!

Yea my cousin had the Taylor made, I like it a lot but hit the Titleist better.

You would be surprised at how low my club speed is, most people are when they see the size of me. My swing is slow and smooth compared to most of my friends yet I still hit it farther then most. Like one Pro said to me at point of impact I am very strong which allows me to have a slower swing them friends but still keep up or hit farther. Will test a few of thier shafts at some demos coming up and see which one I will get in "S"

No rounds for me yet, haven't even swung the clubs. It has been to cold here and I don't wanna take a chance an screw up my back again as I need it warme so it stays nice and loose.

I have never played tournament golf other then local ones, that is cool man, I am sure you have a blast.

I love the old titleist 3-wood... was it the 975? the mid-late 90s version. Best 3 wood ever. When did the courses open up there CosmalibuDawgy?

You mean the PT13, small silver head with Titleist inscribed on the top?

I have one, best 3 wood(metal) ever...

The one I'm thinking of was very similar but had a little arrow on it, but the PT is a classic, vey easy to work the ball

I know which one you're talking about. That came out after the one I just described, around 97 I believe..

Titleist 970 3-wood is the best 3 wood ever made, imo. I have hit it several times and I absolutely love it.

Bigdawg....my friend has the 983 Titleist and he has the red Graffaloy shaft and I believe it is a stiff flex but not sure. He hits it a mile with a little draw on it. He has had it for about a year I guess. He wanted me to hit it but I refused after I found out how much it cost.

Hi BigDawg! I understand you are having concerns in choosing the proper shaft for your new titleist driver!

From what my good friend Chaos Mage has told me, you have the swing speed of a quadrapalegic toddler. I hope you got this driver for free, or you're just wasting your money!

Anyway, this company called Zevo has high quality shafts. I have a ladies' flex compression coil shaft with a low kick point that is just plain awesome! Adding this shaft to my Ping driver has added 15-20 yards to my tee shots! Wicked pissah, huh?

I contacted my rep, and he thinks he has the right shaft for you, to optimize the initial ball velocity for your under-the-speed-limit swing speed. It's newly developed, and seemingly has the flex of a noodle. Really limp! It's called the "Bilestew Wrist Shaft". With this shaft you will be routinely hitting 220 yard bombs center-cut in the short stuff! Anyway, if you're interested, just tell CM and he can get back to me. Good luck!
