Going Topless

The husband and I are going to Punta Cana in July with his friends. I just found out yesterday that the beaches are all topless. I know I don't have to, but I would like to try it out as I am always such a straight arrow and it gets so old. My concern is:

1) his friend will see my boobs.
2) I hate my boobs.
3) his friends fiance just got a boob job, so she is gonna look perfect.

I know that it's not a big deal, but I just wanna know how many other girls, who may not have perfect boobies have gone topless.

I know it's a stupid question...
 
Usually only those who feel they have nice tits do it.

Do they have special topless beaches there?

Stop being so self conscious. Also sounds like you are jealous of your husband's friend's boobs. No one is going to care in Punta Cana.
 
To be honest with you, no one has seen my boobs except, maybe my mom and my husband. So it'll be a nice change to let it all hang out. Sometimes there are things in life, that one must experience in order to atleast say that they did it. Maybe this will be one. If it all works out, you'll probably get some boobie pics, that's if I don't chicken out.
 
flex, I think it would be in your best interests to take some pics and put them up on EF, you know...just so we can give you some honest feedback. if they're ok, we'll let you know, and then you can bare your breasts on the beach in front of your betrothed and his buddies.
 
Just wear what you are comfortable in at the beach.

It's your body - you can dress it or not dress it as YOU please.

I've faced this dilema myself before. To go topless or not to go topless.. that is the question! I decided not to myself, and I've been told that I have really nice boobs. I just wasn't comfortable with it because I am kind of shy etc. One day, when I'm lean, fit and bursting with self-confidence, then maybe I will.

If you want to give being topless a go though and reckon you can work up the self-esteem and courage, then you go for it! Sounds like a nice trip and you really should have nothing to be ashamed of. Try and experience all life has to offer when you get the opportunities to. And besides everyone's got flaws. No one is perfect! I'm sure once you hit that beach it will be very obvious that this is true.

You just have to do what you are comfortable with. Don't feel as though you have to just because its a topless beach and everyone else is doing it. It's all up to you! :) See how ya go with some other replies though. Not sure how helpful this was. :D

They told me that I have nothing to worry about, as they have been there before. I think it's an ethical issue on top of my insecurities. I just don't feel right showing the world my boobs. So I;ll probably not do it, but oh well. Not big deal. I just hate them. They started growing really early. In 5th grade I was the only girl wearing a bra. Then through weight gain they got bigger and now through weight loss they have gotten smaller. One day, after kids, I'm gonna get them done. That's my goal. Thanks again. I really wanted another ladies opinion.

And Flexygrl, do what you want to do...do what makes you feel comfortable. Don't compare yourself to someone else...Just relax.

And, wear what you are comfortable with. Don't get sand in your vageeny though.
 
Wear a top that is very small and maybe a bit see thru the first
day, and see how comfortable you are first.

Actually, a woman wearing say light yellow and allowing it to get wet and transparent is much more sexy to me than just letting it all hang out..

Most nude beaches are filled with hideously ugly people. Many of them over 40. You'll be fine. Don't be embarrassed.

I think its a personal decision. If you decide to go topless around your friends and other beachgoers it won't be a big deal. No one will stare at you since you will be in an enviroment in which being topless will not be seen as out of the ordinary. Your friend's fiance having her boobs surgically altered may make you feel less comfortable going topless but as you said its a once in a lifetime oportunity. Do it! What do you have to lose?

I've been to topless beaches and nude beaches. Believe it or not being clothed at a topless beach made me feel uncomfortable as I was not fitting in with everyone else there. I got more stares because I wasn't topless than I would have had I of gone topless that time.

This is why I can't do the nude beaches. One gets stared at whether they are clothed OR sporting some spectacular swinging meat.:(
 
I have to agree with nverbuffgrl, on feeling more uncomfortable if you don't go topless. I faced this situation on a cruise. There was a topless deck for sun bathing and all my friends were going topless. I looked like a dork sitting there with my top on. I think people were wondering if I was deformed or something. and believe me my boobs were nicer than the majority there. I just felt funny about it. So I started drinking banana daqueries and got so drunk I took my top off and felt great about it! It was really liberating for me to do this as I am a good catholic girl(prude)! I wish I would have just done it in the first place. It was no big deal! Really! Just see how you feel about it when you get there would be my advice. And for gods sake don't let this ruin your vacation!
 
A nude beach might be the perfect opportunity for some fun I want to have. I can get a realdoll (or borrow WODIN's) and have it sunbathing in a populated area. Then I begin to argue with it, and proceed to absolutely beat it senseless. Oh the fun.

Y, this is such a great idea!!! I have a white bikini top, but it's pretty thick. I may have to go out and get another bathing suit. I have a draw full already. I was so unhappy with my body last year that I kept buying them, thinking a different style or color would make me look better. I'm gonna have to sneak it into the house, cause if my husband sees another one, I think he'll kill me.

when i was in cancun last month, i tried going topless. it was really weird because everyone was staring at me like they were seeing boobs for the first time in their lives. and i do mean everyone - men, women, locals, tourists, you name it. this made me feel so uncomfortable and self conscious that i put my top back on within 10 minutes.

this is my experience :)

Well, I wouldn't know I've never been.


I have been to the beaches in southern France and Italy and Rio and people do kinda look at you funny if you do have bikini top on.

In respect to Flexy - I totally feel her - in my own experience it's easier to go to a beach full of strangers topless when it is not the norm in your culture or upbringing than it is to be infront of people you know but have never seen you mostly naked.


To each their own - it would be silly IMO to not enjoy a vacation like that because you feel the way you feel about being topless when you can just wear a top and be donw with it.

Truth be known I hated bras so much that I would slip them off on the bus and shove it into my book bag. Being the totally the clueless non-sexual tomboy kinda yound girl I was I had no idea that my uniform shirts were totally see through.

That's totally my point. If it was just me and my husband I would not care at all. But it's one of his closest friends and his fiance. Seeing a girls boobs, to me is such a big deal. When they told me, she(the fiance) saw the look on my face and said, that's why I got mine done before the vacation, which didn't make it any easier in my book. Atleast, because of the weight training they are a bit perkier....
 
Honestly, I can't tell if your boobies are nice or not so I need you to take a picture of them and email it to me asap. I will give you my honest opinion. O yeah, I'm gay so you need not to worry. It will be like showing your boobies to another female but I will give you a guy's opinion. Ok, I'm not gay, but just make pretend I am so you can feel more comfortable.

When that gets wet, it will be nearly see thru for some reason..
The lighter the better when it comes to yellow.

I don't know why yellow is better than white, I just know..

I guarantee, if you find something that's nearly see thru when it's dry in Light yellow(no liner),
when it gets wet, you will be getting a hell of a lot more stares than plastic tits will..

I dated a girl that used to wear a lot of yellow suits, and I'm telling you it was a hell of a tease seeing right thru it at public pools and at the beach...

When you're on a beach with 2,000 other people walking around topless. Nobody's gonna really give a damn about you. I doubt you'll be the focus of attention. Unless you're just concerned about your husbands friends starring you down all day.

That's my concern. I spoke to my husband about it tonight and he said that he didn't want me to go topless. He doesn't want his friend to see my boobs. So, now I have two issues.

Let's just see what happens in a few weeks!! I will keep you all posted!!!!

I get erections at the beach all the time, without any topless women around. Its already bad enough, I dont want to have to spend any more time in the water waiting for it to come down. Sometimes it stays hard for hours. Ladies, plz keep your tops on.
