going to cancun, need help with bringing stuff back

Hey, I am going to cancun in a few weeks and want to buy some steroids down there. I live in New York. Thus, I am flying down there. How can I bring it back without getting busted? Like do they check all your stuff with xrays? I hear lots of stuff about it? Also, what is the best way about buying it down there? I hear so many different things. Can someone please help me out?
