Side note - they are playing a great song from Del that I haven't heard in years. Damn, hip hop used to be so good.

one of my top 10 hip hop songs of all time (Quiet Storm by Mobb Deep is still #1).

I HATED tribe at first, didn't get into them til later in college. My style needed to mature to the smooth hip hop I think. loved beatnutz tho.

lmfao!!! they are playing PR and CL right now on this itunes station, lmfffaaaoo

Wow, they totally suck huge elephant cock. They played at my place of work last month. Wes is a nice guy, but man he sucks ass on stage. It's like a bizarre cross between NIN and Depeche Mode.

They were good man...

Rene that was song was sick

http://youtube.com/watch?v=WMn5lPU3Kec < greatest hip hop song ever. I started listening to them when I was about 15 or 16 when The Infamous came out. INSANE.

meh....shook ones part 2 was better. by far the best mobb song ever
quiet storm remix was better than the original. Havoc murdered that first verse.

other favorite mobb deep song would have to be just step "give up the goods".
It's the R-A double P, E-R N-O-Y-D niggas can't fuck with me!!! Man, noyd tore that shit up!!!

after infamous they fell off
does anyone even know about their other albums?
more or less a one hit wonder

Faizakafez said:
man,

i cant stand mobb deep lyricaly good but their acutal delivery is wack

now............its because prodigy raps like he's on fuckin nyquil. after murda muzik they were done. not sure what happened. havoc is still good...but P lost his fire. not sure if it's the sickle cell or the fact he just lost the passion for it

The hard core NY rap fans will love them all.. recently the past 3-4 years they are junk and worse when they signed with g-unit threw there rep down the shitter

what..i thought you knew about hip hop?
Infamous was classic
hell on earth was near classic
murda muzik had tons of great joints on it.

after that, they were wack.

their first one when they were young, juvenile hell was alright too. kind of liked the way they rhymed

oh, and if you never got Noyd's first solo album. COP THAT!!!

Episodes of a hustla. fuckin classic mobb

Dude, calling Mobb a one hit wonder sounds like someone that only listens to the radio. Granted their shit of the last few years (post-Murda Muzik, which I wasn't a huge fan of) has been just bad, but they epitomized NY hip hop for a while, not just with Infamous. One hit wonder, lololol. Not to mention they were like 16 when they did Infamous, lol.

big L that dude was SICK.

anyone with taste is. i think you can slightly a little further than that...maybe 01.

big L is one of my favorite rappers ever. if you like big L, download children of the corn. it was a group he was in when he was like 16-17. It was mase, cam'ron and bloodshed (cam'ron's cousin). They all had SICK flows. I'm not sure why cam'ron sucks now so much, i think it's intentional but back then he ripped it. bloodshed is actually my favorite out of those..RIP to him too

Great point, only physically large people are gangstas.

Come on dude, you're smarter than that, lmfao

Big L is very underappreciated (RIP), especially outside of the NY scene. And definitely by me up until a few years ago. That dude was jsut gifted. Ever hear that flow he kicked that went on for about 5 minutes, acapella? I have one with him and Jay Z, maybe at a radio station, way back in the day. All off the dome. Amazing

nothing to do with size and i think only p has sickle cell

T.I. and wayne? god, fuckin kill yourself lol.
T.I. has some alright tracks here and there...but for that guy to be a "king" that doesn't have the word burger in front of it is pretty fuckin lame.

i just listen to the old school artists that are still around dropping some good shit.
nas, cormega, ghostface, lake is pretty good. I was feelin cassidy a little bit. same thing with game...but again, they're only alright. LOX is always "ok" or above average. beanie sigel. Not going to lie, i listen to dipset too..but only because of their production. fuckin rhymes make me want to vomit

not alot to work with now a days

yeah i never understood how TI gets off calling himself the king
outkast, good mob, 3-6, scarface all are much deserving of that title
TI sucks and is corny

would you be afraid of TI cause he claims to be a gangsta? his arms are like 12".
at least 2upac was kinda buff

buff? he was lean, like alot of black dudes who have never touched a weight.
DMX? DMX Is NOT big....he's lean, but i seen him in person and he's a small little fucker. he's got a similar bone structure to me

Dude, seriously. You honestly think that physically larger guys are more "gangsta"?!!! That's insane, IMO. Especially when they aren't exactly rappin about wrestlin matches and bench-offs. A 12" python having little skinny fuck can pull the trigger just as fast as Debo (sp?) from Friday.

For real. I hope you wouldn't judge a fighter (street fighter) by his size. I seen many a small dude fuck up big dudes.

back to the lecture at hand,

you know who i never and still dont like?

Snoop even his old shit doggy style i never liked it..i think he was overated imo

Doggystyle was actually legit. Not comparable to East Coast rap, IMO, but still pretty good. After that he was basically the comedic relief on other people's albums.

i agree

if he didnt have dre, nate dogg, or warren g - snoop would be worthless

his older stuff was better than the new shit
(dre day, gin n' juice, murda was the case)

Faizakafez said:
i think dre is underated as rapper,

the man can flow...

i think it was on trac with obie and jarule beef

dre dont write most of his lyrics.
as a producer he is crazy, even though he doesnt always make the tracks by himself. he gets a couple producers together and dre is usually on the drum beat. he like a composer more than anything

Xzibit...yeah, his first few albums were actually good.

really liked the alcoholics too.

but best west coast rapper lyrically, Ras kass hands down. dude was/is on another fuckin level.

him, xzibit and safar had a group called the golden state warriors. they were dope. but never released an album

oh man, chino xl too!! (though he's east coast)

fuck, getting all misty eyed here
