I have to admit that I take a long time in between listening to Zeppelin because I don't want nothing to get old..........so I don't forget how good they are by no means, it just kind of fades a bit...........than I hear a song and it makes me stop. The other day in the gym this song was playing............made me stop in my tracks, forget about the workout. There is almost no other music EVER written that can do that to me.

I'm an odd sort, for me the *greatness* of the music is more decided by who or what time in my life the song is attached to.

Does that make any sense?

Other than that, I just say, "Damn, that's a good tune and get on with it." But when there is a memory attached I can play the song over and over again and still smell that other person's skin, smell the air, feel the wind on my face or hear someone's voice or laughter... Lots of music moves me this way. I can literally feel it move through me.
