I read that as God is implying that we came from apes... that is the contradiction I am talking about.

The idea of having a personal relationship with whatever you call god and knowing the violent crock of shit that is religion is in no way contradictory.

What I am going from is that God in my worship created man NOT from an animal.

I am unaware of any religion that preaches evolution. Therefore when I read that quote from God I felt it was in contradiction - I'm not shouting blasphemy, just that I feel it doesn't add up.
