God doesn't create men equal, Steriods make up for his mistakes

i think if your genetics suck than they suck. steroids might make you bigger but you will never look like someone with good genetics.

I read this at a website and totally agree with it, its so true. What do you guys think?

I don't want to go religious on anyone here, but I find the comment offensive.

First, God didn't make everyone the same. What would be the point of bodybuilding if you'd look like everyone else? BORING.

Second, for the imperfections of the body, that's the result on sin on humanity. God didn't make us to be defective, we did that to ourselves.

Third, as someone has already said, gear doesn't correct anything. If you have bad genetics, you'll only go as far on AAS as your DNA lets you go.

i believe that statement is bullshit for three reasons, first , the way its writen is of weak vocabulary, it actually makes no sense since steriods are in fact making most men unequal in comparison to others. Second, i agree with what was said before in that no matter what or how much juice you inject into your body it still is based upon the cards your genetics dealt you from day one. And third (this is where i piss off alot of people) GOD CREATED NOTHING, THERE IS NO GOD, PLAIN AND SIMPLE , NO SUCH THING. GET YOUR HEAD OUT YOUR ASSES PEOPLE AND LEARN ABOUT EVOLUTION, AND STOP READING THOSE RED FAIRY TALE NOVELS...

It's blasphemous.

The satement itself is built around the "shock value" comment in there designed to conceal it's lack of depth.

Re: Err....

How do you religious guys justify using steroids? Don't you think it's a sin? Whether you like to admit it or not using AS at any level is abusing a drug.

Hmmm....

Not knowing your background, I'm curious where you get that position from the Bible.

I've find no Biblical instruction saying one cannot use anabolic steroids for athletic or bodybuilding purposes so long as they do so responsibly. This is based on a search for any basis to condemn taking a foreign substance in a manner that yields more benefit than harm to the body.

Except for Christian Scientists, ordinary Christians take a number of common OTC medications that can hurt them more readily than gear can with no thought of it being wrong on some Biblical authority.

The only outright conflict I've found gear use and Biblical doctrine is that one is expected to be in Godly subjection to the authorities placed above them. "Obedient" save for any instruction that contradicts the Word of God. That means if it's illegal to have it and use it, then it's wrong on that basis alone....regardless of the legitimacy of the law itself. Unless, of course, you can find a Bible reference requiring you use AAS.

On another note, even if gear was legal, there would be a question of if one SHOULD use it. Somtimes, just because you CAN do something doesn't mean God would want you to do it even though He's not expressly prohibited it.

BTW, feelin_kinda_saucey, I tried "reality" for a while (26 years). Found out it was a lie. :fro:

Baby G... excellent thoughts there.

I have conflicts in my Christianity with lots of my shortcomings of being human... and a sinner.

I drink... I roll... I smoke up on occassion.

Yes... I am currently on a Winny V, Equipoise, Clen cycle. (I'm in some of the best shape of my life, however... far from "slothfullness")

Sometimes I lie. Sometimes I fornicate. Sometimes I...

Well.. you get the point.

Christians aren't perfect... just forgiven.

WTF, I will send you to the underworld for this.

hey

nobody down talk the bible. ITs not gods fault he didnt know steroids would be invented so he couldn't make use a sin. LOL

Genetics are luck of the draw. And to people that think they have "terrible genetics" look at those with down syndrome or other birth defects. You got 2 arms, 2 legs, and a fairly decent functioning brain. You should be able to look better than 99% of the general population. I'm sure all the people born with birth defects dont want to hear "god has a plan for them".

bro--ive looked at evolution a tons and there is no way that nothing times nothing=everything==in other words evolution=impossible. People use evolution because they love the sinful lifestyle and they dont like the fact that there is a True creator who will judge for the sins of the world--repent

Bro--read the WORD--Bible talks about mind altering drugs and is against it (weed, getting drunk...etc) Is steroid mind altering==No. Not illegal with docs consent and not illegal in other countries--Bible talks about idols--steroids could be an idol if its your life, but if its not your life then its a hobby.

Good point....

That's a difficult issue.

Pride is also a sin, but Christians are not supposed to be ashamed of their faith. In fact, they should be proud of it. Isn't that pride?

I'd really have to do a lot of research into this to see how to detail it in Biblical terms, but I've gotten general affirmation that the following is true....

IT'S ALL ABOUT BALANCE.

It's okay to take enough pride in your body (or to be vain enough?) to want to look your best and take care of yourself. Clearly, when you go overboard, you need to evaluate if it's become sinful.

Is it wrong to want to be a 270lb solid-muscle freek? Not at all. However, if your pursuit of size comes between you and your devotion of God, it becomes an idol in your life and becomes sin. Likewise, if your pursuit of size drives you to take unsound risks with your body that really is risking more harm than good, you're making what should be a hobby into a god. If your pursuit of size affects your life so you are an ineffective witness for Jesus, it's become a negative thing.

I suppose the short answer is to keep your desire to be a freak in perspective so it doesn't hamper your relationship with God or your witness before others.

As an example, a guy I work out with is a HUGE black guy. Spirit-filled, and was so into bodybuilding he could have competed if he wanted to. He loves bodybuilding, but was concerned if it was offensive to God. He prayed over it, and God's answer was, "If you want to go to the gym for an hour or so each day, that's fine. However, three times a day is excessive." This guy used to live at the gym training for hours to develop every facet of his physique. God told him that was too much. In spite of that, the guy's pretty big with just an hour or so every day in the gym.

If you don't let your interests become more important in your life than God, you don't have to worry about them being bad.
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
1 Cor 6:19-20 (KJV)
I see this scripture as key. My body belongs to God. I want it to glorify Him in all it does--even bodybuilding. That's part of why I'm questioning using any more gear. I did feel it was worth it, but at what point was it glorifying me rather than Him? I'm still working out that matter in my heart.

Let's start this up again I am loving Baby Gorilla's points! If there is no god then why do people who have never seen or talked with me in either of our lives disrespect him in front of me wholeheartingly knowing I will take offense to it? It is the heart of an evil man that causes this! I have had people look at me and use all the little inuendo's saying the light is bright out today or things like that? They can see the light of God shining in me!

He he he....

This is starting to look like that scene from Sister Act where the biker says, "If this place turns into a Nun Bar, I'm leaving." :FRlol:

To the smart ass atheists who get their jollies in telling people there is no God: The is more in Heaven and Earth than eye has seen or ear has heard. Get off of yer high horse and humble your proud self.
