If they could develop a car with some of Chrysler's product appeal and capture some of GM's fuel efficiency ... they'd have something.

eventually every business is just gonna merge together and all be owned by one person. Then when the economy returns they'll just jack up the prices because of the lack competition.

There's a large fund that made an offer on GM's Vette line but the catch was they would move out of Louisville.

I think GM will be bought out by a third party who will buy GM's assets and leave their debts. I'm sure Obama will save Detroit though..

The best thing NA manufacturers could do for themselves is merge.

Daimler took a multi-billion dollar loss to get away from Chrysler a few years back

I can see GM buying Jeep, but GM already has too many product lines, adding Dodge and Chrysler to the mix would be insane.
