glute injections

I have two questions, first would be if the needle would happen to not penetrate the muscle completely and the fat tok most of the injection would it still work it would it be wasted? Second question has anybody ever hit the phsciotic nerve (not sure if spelled correctly) ?

not wasted...but youll have a really sore ass for about a week..

First you need about a 1.5 inch needle to inject in to the glute,

Second the Sciatic nerve is on the medial side of the femur, so it would be hard to hit.

thanks for the response. I only had the 1'' 23g at the time but so far everything is went intrmuscular. just curious what would happen if not deep enough.and so far i havent been soar at all. knock on wood.

i injected with a 1" 23 couple tiems and it was fine

If you have fat in yo ass you better go with 1.5" I use 1" but my ass is pure muscle covered by a thin layer of skin...

Second if you are hiting the nerve, maybe you're hiting the wrong spot. Imaginary divide your glute in four quadrants, shoot in the upper outer one.
