Try doing one sided drills where you are specifically on defense, and where you are specifically on offense. If you are on defense you can not throw a punch, just work on your slips and blocks(whatever style you may be), and on offense throw punches and combinations with out having to worry about defending yourself yet.

no I throw punches fine
I have trouble keeping my eyes on the opponent I try to turn my head away
or lately I havn't turned away I just look down

looking down is a natural response to having punches thown at your face, you can get yourself used to this by holding the focas pads closer to your face when doing drills with a partner. this way you can practice keeping your head up with the punches comeing towards to your face with out geting hit.

how close should the focus pads be
I generally do a lot of inside punching on the focus pads already so they are like right there
I think it's fear and being a pansy
I'm terrified this wont go away

You are showing low self-efficacy in your ability to take hits, or effectively prevent them connecting. This is a personal belief and not neccesarily fact. we all believe in our strengths and weaknesses, yet they may or may not be what we see them as. Maybe you do not trust your sparring partners.

The best thing to do is know that you have the training, the ability and the means to effectively stop an attacker.

perhaps too much time on tit for tat fight techniques and not enough of putting a stop to the advancing opponent. change your tactics a bit, maybe pussy footing around isnt your thing and your current fear is from fear over an extended time of your ability.

I too do not like my odds over time, my endurance sux, and I too dislike the gloves, so I looked for methods to quicken the end of the fight in my favour.

You are psyching yourself out. If you know the stuff, have demonstrated talent, then the barrier is internal belief. If practice isnt fixing it, maybe its time to find another style that better suits your mindset.

I am no expert, but play around with whats on offer.

Umm , Im mean , but I got my little sister over this by having my Brother hold her in a Full nelson while I slapped her in the face 100 times .

after about 75 she stopped being gunshy , and the next lesson she was like a different Fighter .

She didnt really TALK to me for a couple of months , but now she can fight men .

start with the pads a confortable distance away from your face when then move em a little bit closer when your cconmfortable with that distance move em closer again this will get you used to punches being thrown towards your face trust me!

The best way to get accustomed to being hit is to be hit, simply put.
