SOME of them do know EXACTLY what kind of attention they are getting, but that doesn't give anyone the right to break the laws. They are there for a reason. Each law cannot cater to an individual but yet are put in force for the bulk of the community. Just because the "CHILD" says yes doen't mean she is ready to take on full responsibility for her actions.

This is where WE as ADULTS step in and do whats right.

I have to walk on egg shells when I try to get with a girl. My step-sister's friends are all seniors, 17 pushing 18, and I'm a 20 year old with raging hormones. Nothing like giving someone an NJP due to the fact that she was 17 and 11 month to fuck up your life. Hasn't happened to me, but it's to the point where you have to almost ask for a form of ID.

Well here in DE the "age of consent" is 16, so long as the guy is NOT more than 3 years her senior....so if she was 16, then he could be 19 with no probs, etc....

I think case by case is correct, I met a girl when she was 17 and we dated for three years. I was in my 20's and no harm was done. Call me a sicko but I treated her with respect and taught her the goodness in life. To each his own.

The Marine Corps has it's own set of rules though. So even though I couldn't get charged in DE, the Corps could give it a shot.
