Girlie Question for the Ladies....

My answer is the ring and that goes against the grain of what the other ladies have been saying but I have a good reason.

When I married my ex we where young and didn't make much money so I told him just a band would do, hey I was happy to get married. Well along the way when he started making the big bucks and buying himself Rolex's and 500 SL's I asked more than several times if he could get me the ring I never got. I was kinda thinking some anniversary it would be a neat thing to do. Nothing huge just a real diamond ring. He never did....and no it was not just hints I asked him out right very nicely I thought. To this day it still hurts a little that I was not worth that. I don't carry it as baggage I just want the next time around for the guy to think I am worth enough to him to buy the ring, hopefully we will have enough left over for a nice honeymoon (never had one of those either).

Someday, if I am very fortunate, I will happen across a special man and we will share our hopes and dreams...don't want money, don't want "I love you", don't want a big shiny rock - just a man who will show me everday of my life how much he appreciates and cares for me.

Bikinimom, you are a very wise lady, too many times men as well as women get caught up in thinking they need to do this or that, when if they follow their heart they're better off.
I'm sure that you will find the right man to share your life just don't give up on all us men.

well, we havent' planned the honeymoon yet, but we take a couple trips to barbados every year... (though he calls it home, that's the catch i guess, but i'm not complaining)...

matt - why didn't he get the ring back with his dumb ass. no disrepect to your friend, i just think it's ridiculous when women expect to keep an engagement ring when they're not getting married and the guy is ok with that.

I agree 100%. He is working on it. Sometimes women donlt want to give it back. He broke her heart so she took $8500. Like the "hit em up style" song right?

Warik....work, training, and practice dear. Would your mom make me make my bed everymorning? I hate that. Or pick my clothes up off the floor? Thats even worse.

No... she would make your (our) bed and all you have to do with your clothes is throw them on top of the hamper (i.e. the chair in the corner of my room). You'd have it made, and all you'd have to do is award yourself to the personification of hermitude... I don't know... sounds like a good trade to me.
