girlfriends diet

My girlfriend just got emailed this diet that i think is totally retarded. Let me know what you guys think:


3 DAY DIET
DAY 1
breakfast:
black coffee/tea/water
1/2 grapefruit
1 slice toast
2T peanut butter
lunch:
1/2 c tuna
1 slice toast
coffee/tea
dinner:
2 slices any meat 3 ounces
1 c string beans
1 c beets
1 small apple
1 c vanilla ice cream
DAY 2
breakfast:
1 hard boiled egg
1 slice toast
1/2 banana
lunch:
1 c cottage cheese
5 saltine crackers
dinner:
2 hot dogs
1 c brocolli
1/2 c carrots
1/2 banana
1/2 c vanilla ice cream
Day 3
breakfast:
5 saltines
cheddar cheese (100 calories worth)
1 small apple
lunch:
1 hard boiled egg
1 slice toast
dinner:
1/2 c tuna
1 c beets
1 c cauliflower
1/2 cantelope
1/2 c vanilla ice cream

6 glasses water a day
salt and pepper
3 day diet, 4 days off,...
 
Yeah I'd sure love a diet that would actually work while eating all that ice cream, at night no less :rolleyes:
 
Ahhh, yes. The ubiquitous "3 day diet". Sometimes it comes with a claim that it is used by cardiology wards on patients that have to lose weight quickly. The story is utter and complete bullshit. This is all over the web, in email inboxes and on usenet. It's a starvation type diet that severely restricts calories - not a good idea.
 
That's the Cleveland Clinic diet.

Haven't seen that one in many many years.

As a Fad diet - it works.
But do you really want a Fad diet?
