girl problems...need serious advice

Don't give up the ship. If she's that good for you then you have to hang in there for whatever time you get with her. Don't waste time counting the days...enjoy each sunrise she's still there. 50% of something great beats 100% of nothing.

stay away from drama queens bro..
trust me i just learned a tough lesson not long ago!

they're trouble.

how is this categorized as a drama queen...its obviously something that should be discussed before things move further...

Bro I wish you well in your situation and nothing but happiness.

Firstly, no offense but MAKE SURE that she does indeed have cystic fibrosis. You will not imagine the level of deceit that a lot of people dish out. My ex claimed she interrupted a robbery one night and was beaten and raped by two guys when in fact none of that happened. Then when I called her out on it she admitted to lying about that, but then guess what, she said she was indeed raped a little while before that. Yeah fuckin right!!! Some women are flat out bitch ass lying ho's who enjoy PITY and making guys feel sorry for them. I hate to say it but if some guy(s) were to rape my ex one day I would not feel sorry for her bitch ass one bit.

Satch is right on bro, drama girls are to be avoided at all costs. I've also learned that lesson the hard way. Confirm that she is indeed telling the truth. Trust me bro, some people play some very elaborate lies and go to great lengths to deceive. If she really does have cystic fibrosis then do what your heart tells you. Moreover, many relationships (between two "healthy" people) barely last more then 3-5 years anyway. Most marriages end up in divorce after a few years so it's not like statistically couples are together very long nowadays.

damn maybe i should have read your post first..

listen man ive never been in this situation..the only thing i can say is if you really feel strongly about this girl you shouldnt let her go...nothing wrong with living in the present...have fun now and dont worry too much about the bad things that may come down the road..

Well put Dial...

Really nobody knows how long they have on this earth. Enjoy the time you do have here, by living each day like it's your last.

u know now that u mention it my girl friend mentioned about getting surgery when she was younger on her lungs. I believe it was cystic fibrosis. She said that theres a chance that it can come back and they have to keep removing portions of her lung. She never mentioned not living past 30 or anything that was life threatening in the short term. Maybe some cases are worse than others. Anyone shed some light on this?

I did a little research later that night,

basically it breaks down like this...only about 40% (or maybe its 60%) make it past 18
*however some people have the defective gene and it doesn't affect them

u know now im gonna have to talk with her about this b/c she never brought it to my attention. i dont know if she is holding out on me or doesnt want me to be concerened.

Yeah, maybe she didn't want you know...I hope that's not the case, hopefully she had something else...
------
I told her I wish she hadn't of told me, cause I was afraid that subconsciously I would now treat her differently...

Her body fluids should taste extremely salty...extremely salty due to the uneven distribution of ions from the fucked up Na/Cl channels. They also produce excess thick mucuous, you can definately tell if people have this.

this makes perfect sense...

when she coughs (not very often, its kind of groggy)...haha, I kidded her a couple of times when we first started hooking up about it, comments like "I hope you don't get me sick", "I see you still have that cold", and "you should get a flu shot"...god what an idiot I must have looked like

...and yes, her skin is slightly salty to the taste

thanks for the info Dragon

If you feel this strongly about her than stick with it. Every day there are medical breakthroughs and who knows maybe in a couple of years she could be cured and you two could stay together for a long time. Even if that doesn't happen it is better to truly love at least once in your life even if for a short while. Just don't run away from this because you are afraid of getting hurt. Life is primarily about pain, and in the end we lose everyone we love either with their passing or our own. Take life one day at a time and enjoy the series of moments that make up each of those days.

Cheers,
Scotsman
