Well, my weekend to Venice came to a halt because of inclement weather and problems with diving equipment. =-( We spent the night in our normal anchorage spot but had to come home today.

However, last night, there were more dolphins than I have ever seen in one night. Dolphins were playing right next to the boat while we were under a large beautiful and lit up bridge with the sun setting. I think it was one of the best nights I've ever had. They were right by the bow and I was leaning over. There were about 7 together. They were so close that I could see that one of them had white spots near his tail.

Then, on the way home this morning, one kept breeching completely out of the water.

I didnt' get many photos because the digital's batteries kept going low and then completely died. I captured a couple of photos of the sunset with the small silhouette of a dolphin in the distance. Those are hard to get, because the dolphins go up and down in the water. It was just a lucky shot, but I wish that I would have gotten some of the close ups.

Here are some pics:

Nice sunset pic

Is it possible to swin and play with the dolphins?

I've heard it can be dangerous

They would swim away. They like playing in the wake of boats. That is why they swim around them. They are curious, but they wouldn't go for people swimming with them.

However, they do train those dolphins at the swim with the dolphins places to hang with the people. ;-)

THanks. Well, I do enjoy being out on the water, and I have been very lucky this summer to be able to do that some. =-)

Yeah, I'm thinking Lestat might have a problem with that last pic, as your anchorage spot just happens to be an area with a cross on it (insert symbolism). ;)

ROFL...Lestat is more obsessed with God and Jesus than any minister/priest that I know. I often wonder about him. I can see being an atheist, but I don't really get why he despises believers. C'est la vie...lol.

Corky. ;)

He is so spoiled, it's disgusting. I love that dog to death!
You should have gone deep-sea fishing with him. I'll bet you could catch a baracuda (or better) using him as bait.

Hilarious little dog, amazing sky
You should see the dog in person. He does some pretty damned cute stuff. =-)

I'm in a bikini...lol. There is just a spoiled yorkie in front of them...lol.

I went swimming in Tampa Bay one time and there were dolphins playing just a few feet away. They might have been porpoises, I'm not an expert on such things.

Really, I would pay 25k to have real, untrained dolphins playing in the water that close with me. No joke. That is a once in a lifetime thing.

Yeah, but $25k is like $25 to you (and Wulfgar).

No doubt! I have a new training log in the women's forum to make myself more accountable. I'm going to be hitting this shit hard now. ;)

Wow! I didn't know I encountered something so special. I was just scared that I was going to encounter a bull shark along with the dolphins.

not likely ... sharks and dolphins don't hangout together, personality conflict.

yeah, you encountered a once in a lifetime experience. That kind of experience would bring me to tears of joy.

Thank you, and YES, I love to cook! I don't like to clean, but I love to cook, so I'm only a half-good catch...lol. They should add that to my description on the good wifey thread...lol

Don't be surprised, you don't ever see any boobs in real life either (well, unless you are counting your own gyno. ;) )
