Getting the Call

HaZaRDouZ

New member
Hey yall, I am a 22yr old male from the midwest. I just received the call to goto ground zero for Katrina because i am in the servic (MP type of job). I am only 3 wks into my cycle and i am wondering how this may affect me and my hormones, and just some personal opinions on to go or not to go? Such a big dilemma. If i go i will be leaving on Sunday. 3months minimum 1yr maximum. Thanks

i do have an option, and i have a GF of 1yr. she definitely doesnt want me to go. we are shooting on sunday and then leaving, we have been told along the lines its gonna be really dangerous because of all the lootings, a shoot to kill type of thing.

good luck if you go. stop cycle and begin PCT.

maybe its just me but, you are in a position to help those people who have been devastated by this horrific event and you are questioning whether you should or not?
imagine its your mom, sister, grandpa etc.. how would you feel?
but i degress, i imagine your cycle is more important than how many lives you could save and or help rebuild.
if i could i would but i wasnt allowed to enter an armed force and i am responsible for a family of 5 so my absence is not an option
i have some family there , i dont know if they are okay or what, i just hope a few people will choose to help those people before too many more perish.
my 2 cents

I agree, this is unfortanetly the opportunity of a lifetime to do some real good and Lord knows we need more of that. I say go, you can always get more muscle, but the life experience you can gain from this is invaluable. Good luck bro.

I would say go, I would think you should be safe down there now since the national guard/law enforcement presence is so much greater now. I can understand your girldfriends and your fears about getting shot, it really sounds like hell down there. Someone my wife works with knows someone that lives in Mississippi. The father of this family in Mississippi went out to get some gasoline to power their electric generator for the house and he ended up getting shot and died while trying to do so.He never returned home to his family.

i'm from La., my best bro, wife and twins are with me and my family now...we are trying to find a way to get down there and check out their situation. but we are civy's so unlikly...go, and if you have a chance to put a bullet in one of the fuck-hole animals causing trouble..ie,the fuckers shooting at cops and caregivers, would be worth missing a few workouts..god knows i would if i could!!
godspeed bro..

I also say go. Like some said ,some of us weren't allowed to join the military but your in a position to do some good for people that need it. I live in sw florida by where charlie hit last year and know how much of a help it was to have the national guard here. You'll be glad later in life that you did.

Helping others in need is a far greater calling then missing a few workouts. Start PCT and head down there and be a hero to those less fortunate. There will always be another cycle when you get back.

If you want to go, then quit the cycle.
If you want to continue cycle, don't go.
You don't want to take unnecessary risks. You are the last person who should evaluate your mental condition.

When you die many years from now, what would you like your tombstone to stay:

This guy was big and selfish

or

This the man before us today sacrificed himself, his girlfriend, and his muscle to help his fellow Americans durring a time of need. He is and foever will be a HERO.

too many body-builders are only 100% into themselves. the world revolves around them, their body, their cycle, food and work-outs. Guy, no disrespect to you but if you have to ask then don't go, you dont have it in you to help other people.

I don't think its worth it bro. If you have no family, no wife, no kids, no long term girlfriend, and over all, no future plans - then go. If you do - don't.

There are people starving to death! Come on bro didnt you sign up for the military to be a HERO !In my opinion having the opportunity to save thousands of lifes is priceless. Your 22 bro you have your whole life to put on 10 or 20 pounds from a cycle. The family you could be saving could be mine or one of the the other bros from here!makes us proud!!!I might not be able to serve however i will send money and clothes through red cross i want to do my part to help my fellow americans.Good luck with your decision bro....

All I'm gonna say is I don't envy anyone in your situation. That said, the work you would be doing matters, you could save lives.

For me it would depend on my relationship with my girl friend. If you are serious you would be asking a lot of her to be gone for a year.
