Getting Busted For Surfing At Work

Is there a way to prevent the network administrator at my work from tracking the websites? They know that someone has bought something using a specific computer and I dont wanna get caught. I heard that safeweb.com might work, but not quite sure.

No. You can cover your track on your computer but not the network administrator's. But as long as you're not seriously abusing it I wouldn't worry about it. As long as you are not looking at porn, people will get fired for the with the quickness. Most employers accept the fact over 90% of employees with web access suft a little.

i read in Maxim magazine that you can sort of cover it by logging onto AOL. They will only show that you have been on aol all day, but the sites that you go through AOL will not be displayed to the administrator. Anyone know this is true or not?

Aren't you there to do a job,and not surf the net? Do your job and do it well, quit pussy-footin around.
