German Volume Training?

So on this do you just pick 1 exercise per body part do 10 sets of 10 reps to failure each time once a week?
more detail please. Or any suggestions for someone who only has time to train 3 days a week and needs to put on some quick mass beore christmas?
 
I put my cousin on a german volume training program almost 3 months ago, and he has made great gains.Here is his program:
Day 1:Chest/Biceps
-Bench Presses
-Standing Dumbell Curls

Day 3:Legs
-Back Squats
-Lying Leg Curls

Day 5:Lats/Triceps
-Supinated Chins
-Tri Pushdowns

The first 6 weeks, he took roughly 60% of his 1-rm for each exercise and performed 10 sets of 10 reps.If all reps were completed, he upped the weight.The past 4 weeks, he has been doing 10 sets of 5 with a bit more weight.He has reported a large increase in strength-endurance and his bodyweight is up 8 pounds, though not all of it is muscle according to his bodyfat composition.His only complaint is the amount of food he is eating.Hope this helped.
