Hey George,
I'd gladly PM or email you, however you don't seem to have that functionality turned on.
You always welcome feedback, comments, and questions regarding the site, so I hope this is ok.
I have a question regarding the bumping of old threads.
I certainly can see why we would not want to constantly have threads started years ago cluttering the front page of C&C, new material is always good, however I do believe their are many valid reasons to want to bump an old thread.
Many times a question is asked that has already been answered or addressed, or many times an old thread is referenced in a new one (e.g. that one thread about the steakhouse was hilarious!). A thread that was good 6 months ago, is likely still good if the content was not time sensitive.
Recently I had most of my "Interview" threads locks. I am not sure who it was by or why, but those threads are not bumped daily, or even weekly. They are bumped when someone asks about them, or sometimes right before a new interview is going to be released to get people primed up for them, you know how important hyping something up can be I am sure.
I don't think those threads contain questionable content, and I have been told by many members that they enjoy the threads, and that they are some of the best threads I have ever done.
For your reference, those threads are here:

Considerable time and effort went into creating those threads, and to see them locked is an insult.
But this issue is much bigger then myself, for the sake of the board, I'd like to ask what the official policy is on the bumping of old threads. What constitutes "old?" The term old is subjective and certainly open to interpretation from moderator to moderator.
Also, is the "oldness" of a thread determined by the date of the original post, or the last reply?
I know that not everything can be nailed down to the letter, but I would hope that we can eliminate ambiguity surrounding this particular police and see it enforced more uniformly on the site.
There seems to be a growing number of unwritten "board policy" be it official or unofficial. It looks like direction is given (from you) but how to put it into practice is not interpreted the same way by all your staff.
I appreciate you taking the time to look into this matter.
Thanks,
Lestat
