What's the difference? I got in a discussion on this with a male friend on our way to the UT game yesterday. I was saying how rare it was to find a guy that will open doors for you and all that. Some will, but not all. The guy I was talking to will even open the car door for a woman. It's great. Anyway, I told him that a gentleman will do stuff for a woman without making her feel inferior. That's where the macho pig comes in, lol. Any thoughts?

I'm just adding in my own 2 cents, I have no problems at all opening a door for a woman, or a guy as I said, I just dont think it should be a requirement, that seems a little too "southern tradition" for me, and I just go by seat of the pants more than anything I'm told I have to do to make people happy. From my own experiences in high school most people went after each other based on looks, even when it meant putting up with shit. What's the difference? I got in a discussion on this with a male friend on our way to the UT game yesterday. I was saying how rare it was to find a guy that will open doors for you and all that. Some will, but not all. The guy I was talking to will even open the car door for a woman. It's great. Anyway, I told him that a gentleman will do stuff for a woman without making her feel inferior. standard practise here for a lot of the things, it would be nice if it worked both ways but i guess thats the gender double standard.
