So I have the most common geek disese... tendonitis, mine comes from a mouse though I have it all bandaged up and they told me to do some excersizes otherwise I can get carpal tunnel syndrome

I need my hadn to be fine to use my computer.... otherwise how will I come here and read and post with all you fine bros

Get a super cool headset and one of those programs that translates speech to text. It will be just like your old headgear growing up.

yikes. I get random pains in my mouse hand and my gamer hand (WASD) hand. Scary. I still have many good gaming years left in me.

Plus I kinda need to be able to use computers to make a living....

File a workers' comp claim. Then if Dell lays you off sue for retaliation.

Dont worry about getting carpal tunnel from computer use. Repetitive motion does not cause it.

I'm glad Chirs says I wont get CTS do to mouse... but I am having trouble at work/with mouse...

I've seen those wrist roller things for sale that are supposed to alleviate the strain on your wrist when using a PC mouse lots.

It's genetic. Your tunnels are too small. Working with the mouse can aggravate it, but isn't what caused it in the first place.

Yesterday afternoon it got bad and swollen so I went to the ER where they told me what to take in the mean time, today I went to the Dr's office and she told me I can't work anymore and sent me how, I kinda argued a bit with her because when you get sent home they only pay 50% of your salary and I had already been here like 3-4 hours, my bf works with me so he cant take me home and I cant take the car because I cant drive, getting home by bus takes at least 2 hours so it was stupid to go home..... she agreed and will have me rest tomorrow and saturday and then im off sunday monday and tuesday so I'll really get rest... a coworker is going to the company hotel all weekend and asked us to go with him but I feel bad going to the beach while on sick leave... allthough I would rest and stay away from computers

well I havent been doingmuch else, I've been using the PC like crazy because am close to my deadline for a couple of investigations, the Dr at the office ambushed me in my desk and showed me how I'm sitting all wrong, we have ergonomic chairs and special AW gaming mice but seems I was sitting to low on my chair therefore had my arm rested in an incorrect way and angle causing pressure on my hand and hence the tendonitis.... FAIL
