Just finished it and there are some eye popping effects with lighting and motion blur, especially shooting enemies close up in the dark. The highly detailed character models really make it shine. The underwater level looked awesome too. It was a grueling slog of a campaign for the most part but well worth a playthrough. That's the one thing this series could use is a little more diversity in terms of gameplay to keep it from getting too tedious. There are a couple on rails and fetching sections but for the most part it's still just take cover/shoot/melee, etc.
What's here though is solid, and looks damn good. Overall I'd say it's the best in the series top to bottom; although it's still more of the same and not much else. They'll have to add some new core mechanics in the future to spice it up a bit.
