gas prices

i paid 1.68 a gallon yesterday, im guessing thats below the average

That sounds GOOD to me... I paid $1.83 for Mid Grade - damn V8's need better gas than the regular so I can't be "cheap" & use the Regular grade. Grrr!! I don't see why the hell the gas prices are so high?!

I'm not really a car expert but most engines are made to run off a lower octain, ie 89 unless you have a sports car. maybe older model vechicles would benefit from a higher octain.

anyway i always by the cheapest and that is 1.59 as of right now.

This time next year you the gas price now was cheap. That seems to have been the trend over the last several years. Since i've been able to drive anyway. Back in the day I remember when gas was 98 cents a gallon. I was 16 then and i'm only 22, 22 1/2 now.

why do u think u need to burn mid grade gas, i dont know what u drive but todays v8 engines are designed to run on regular unleaded, i drive a tahoe and a gmc pickup, both have 350 vortec v8s, and they run just fine on regular . and the gas hereis about $ 1.53 a gallon.

You guys are lucky, I wouldn't complain. Current price in Toronto is around 76 cents a litre. Do the conversion and factor in the dollar difference and that's equal to about $2.10 - $2.15 a gallon.

You have to factor in cost of living as well. In alabama we b poor so a buck 59 is high.

True - but part of the difference is IN the actually dollar conversion.

I drive a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited...
My uncle had a 2002 & he used Regular - even though it states that you should use PREMIUM fuel...he paid the price later when something went wrong w/ his Jeep. I usually switch between Premium & Mid Grade...I don't want it to get "used to" the same kind of gas. I'm just not takin' any chances - if it says to use Premium gas, I'll just switch between Mid Grade & Premium.

Only a small part because we're taking in and paying out in Canadian dollars while you do the same with American $$

By the way, $2.15 is only for the cheap stuff to, if I wanted premium it would be $2.40 plus....
