Just got done watching it, I like the added commentary was great to see.
 
just got done watching it myself. does anyone get the feeling that Lou dosen't really get along with his father to this day. everytime he talked about him he seemed kind of angry.

You should have read the things he says about him in his book.

Apparently, Lou was kicked out of his home for losing the Olympia.
 
Just watched it. That was truly inspiring. Everone had a true physique that just looks magical. Not to take away anything from the freaks today but they looked like art work back then. ARnold only weighed 220 and looked fucking huge. IMO I think insulin and growth have changed proffesional bodybuiling in a bad way putting too much mass on the pros and taking away from that perfect symytry of the olden days.

are you kidding me! damn that's sad. his father really got to me in that movie. i just wanted to strangle the fucker.
 
Mad Max...It's not really about the pros...it's about the people behind the sport ie the weiders using BBers like circus animals.

They encourage these guys to get as big and freaky as possible because BBing is and always will be a cult sport.

The physiques of the todays pros may be shocking but the physiques of the pros in the 70's was VERY freaky at the time.

So really, nothing's changed.
