why is paypal shady? have any info on it other than just a "feeling"? if not, don't bother saying anything
the sign-up process was annoying for me having an international credit card, took a month, but it's been great since, paying for auctions, STUFF, etc... within minutes, beats the hell out of money orders and snail mail, which is what most of us were stuck with not too long ago

They're shady because anything they do in terms of account siezure, closing, etc. is totally and completely arbitrary.
The fact is, there are schemes set up for completely anonymous digital e-cash without all these fucking problems. And there have long been services that act trusty for buying and selling. paypal doesn't have the benefits of either of these shits.
Its some guy at some company deciding if your money is yours or not. Say someone uses a stolen CC #. How are you supposed to know? They can and do size accoutns for that.

Paypal is bound by no laws and nobody can do anything to them. I'm waiting for a single lawyer or case to go through and show anybody has any success as I will hire that atty immediately!
I know this first hand as they ruined my business 2 years ago when they froze my account for multi tens of thousands of dollars. No, that isn't a misprint and the money is 'still there', but after numerous lawyers and phone calls and the like, I can't get a cent though they were nice enough to send me a tax form for the interest I earned last year. Jackasses. Yea, I earned interest on money that I can't get!
