FU fedex you nosey mofo's.

Has anyone in this thread ever worked in shipping? Shipping companies do NOT want their employees playing detective. If you get caught opening packages at UPS or Fed EX and you are not one of the handful of people who are authorized to do so, they will fire your ass in a heartbeat. Shipping companies are not law enforcement agencies, people seem to think UPS and Fed Ex employ half of their workforce for the sole purpose of inspecting packages. It's all about running a business and making money, there is nothing to gain by worrying about each package and paying people to open and inspect. They would rather pay them to load and deliver.

why have i seen so many packages go down then?Is a package over 20lbs reson to get the right people to open it?

All priority mail travels via FEDEX. They've had that contract from the post office for over 5 yrs now. Bottom line is any package can be randomly opened but they never are. The only times any carrier knows whats traveling in your packages domestically is if the package is damaged. The carrier is responsible for repacking the items or compensating for the damage if the package was insured. They do not have the time or inclaation to randomly open packages. The nature of the sorting facilities warrants the fact that some packages will be damaged. Bottom line... If you want your package safe and unopen thenhave the sender use proper packing methods.

Then again there is the good chance that this fucking scumbag is filling these boxes with sand then calling Fedex and giving them the track# and telling them that there is something illegal in the pack or potentially dangerous and getting them to turn the packs in to the PO station so he can colled half the $$$ lost on the pack from me.There have been 2 big packs hit in a matter of 10 days and I paid half for the first and he tried to make me pay for the second but I refused.

No, it isn't, I don't know why the pack you are referring to was picked, but the weight is not a reason to draw suspicion. Most domestic packs that get picked are singled out because whoever sent the pack had their head WAY up their ass. For example, if a small package weighs 2 pounds, why would it need to have 12 rolls of tape wrapped around it? If a package has so much tape on it that it starts to look like a pipe bomb, people will be curious to know what is inside that giant tape mummy. People who get carried away with the majic marker are also pushing their luck. There is no need to write a bunch of irrelevant crap like "Happy Birthday" all over the box with 5 different colors of ink, it only draws attention to the package. If it leaks, it is considered to be battery acid or nuclear waste, prepare to be inspected. Not to mention the fact that no driver likes to deliver a package that has something oozing out the side of it, complete with a set of tire tracks and footprints on it. "Here's your package, or what's left of it, bye now". If the address is incorrect, it may be opened to find more shipping information.
Also, keep in mind that overnite may be the fastest, but it is NOT the safest. I'm not saying that overnite is unsafe, but 2-3 day is a much better option. I'm not guessing about any of this, I'm stating the facts, hope it helps.

This guy is turning his own packs in to collect 1/2 the cash lost is my guess.Like he is calling fedex and telling them hey this pack with this track# is carrying dangerous or illegal goods and they are intercepting it and bringing it to the popo station and the popo opens it and its a bag of sand inside then I track it there and the guy says oops the pack was hit pay me half the loss. This shit is too weird to be hapening twice now.
