Front Squat PR

thats crazy for front squats, I'd be afraid to even try it

well with the bar in front of you if you should lean forawrd at the waist (forward lean) the bar is just going to roll right off..so it does force you to take a more upright posture which will take some stress off the lower back..that is why i put these in because i had a tendency to lean a bit too much..if youre getting some low back issues with reg squats maybe try to carry the bar a little lower on the back..sometimes if the gym's crowded and i dont get "my" rack lol its harder to get the bar in the best position..
 
That's mildly impressive. Too bad it's only a front squat and not a press or something with that little weight. HAHA! J/K, awesome shit man!

Thats what I figured. Hows your quad development? Are they over 30 inches yet?

i dont think they re i havent measured in a while..for me legs can never be big enough..not to mention my right quad lost most of its sweep and is smaller than the other from my knee surgery many years ago..i was laid up in bed for over a month when i had that done and i remeber the day they took the soft cast off my arm was bigger than my quad!!!! i swear at times i have flashes where i look at my legs and i see that image..thats why i just plug away keep squatting adding weight changing reps, wide stance close stance, i do em all.. ;)

I broke my feemer 5 years ago as well I know what you mean.
 
Hey, Beast. You ever do front box squats? I have a really hard time balancing the bar on normal front squats, so I started doing them on the box. Any tips for balance? :bigbuck:

i havent heard of anyone doing them..but i dont see why you couldnt..when i do box squats i do them touch and go i dont sit completely on the box and rock like some do..thats just the way i do them some rock which is fine..

thats why fronts are great it will help balance your core as well as keep you upright..make sure the bar is sitting well on your delts otherwise itll roll..on my walk out i always exaggerate my elbows ( i try to point them to the sky) obviously you wont be able to get them that high but it will keep you aware that you need to hold onto the bar..

i have a bad knee..and used to squat with my old knee brace but the thing was so worn out it didnt do much so i added wraps on my sets 315 and up
