Frome zero to 200 in two months.

Went from 19" regular TV to 37" 720p to 61" 1080p in two months.

Putting tb(me) in the TV 'elite'.

I already wish I had gone a tad smaller. The 61" is almost dangerous to carry around.

With the Bushbarian reign of terror being subdued, I can relax and watch history instead of incessantly clanging the church bell and yelling about Bushbarians running amuck.

dangerous to carry around??? What carrying are you doing with a tv that large?

Also what kind of tv is it?

History channel is cooler in HDTV.

I would hardly bother with cable/satellite without the History channel.

Alas, I am told it is not available in HD. Thats what the Direct TV rep told me.

I used a refrigerator dolly to get it in the house.

I bought it to let customers view their photos and do their selections. Then I woke up and realized that I am booking almost noyone. There are a lot of dirt cheap photographers these days who are killing my business. I don't know if they are Chinese are Mexican or what. I do know they are really cheap. Yet somehow got themselves a sophisticated web page after appearing out of nowhere.

So I am not sure where I will put it. Or where it will stay.

I am working on a new web site. But I am working on many things.

Oh....it is a Samsung DLP. It was a store display for four months. So I got the three year warranty.

DLPs cost a bit less. The bulb has to be replaced periodically (avg 3 years) and that is supposed to be about $150 if you do it yourself. On the other hand, they have no burn in problems.

It only weighs about 110 pounds. The problem is the size. And lack of handles.

$150 is not bad at all. A lamp for my LCD is $250.

Luckily I only watch this particular tv at nighttime, so I am able to have the contrast set low which saves lamp life.

I would think that turning down brightness would also help significantly?

It has a 10,000:1 contrast ratio. A sign of a quality TV.

I have bought so much stuff this week, I can hardly move.

Bought two 90 gallons aquariums. That is also just a little to big to carry around myself. I can carry 75 gallon aquariums easliy enough.

Well the remote cost me $52. They gave me a remote that doesn't do everything I want to do.

And 61" is too big unless you have at least 8' of viewing space. I'm going to tear apart my jerry rigged stand and move it all back for over 9' of space. It is kind of hard to lift this TV a few feet due to the size.

The good news is that the 37" LCD makes a killer computer monitor. Killer.

It is a Visio and is very bright. I'm very happy with it really. I would recommend a 42" Vizio for someone looking for a great TV at a reasonable price. Big enough but not too big. 720p/1080i is just fine for 42". 1080p is nice when going over that size. If you can find a 1080p source. Did someone say Blueray?

And I got a 90 gallon tank set on a stand I made for a 120. I'm a bit cheap at times. Got a new 90 for $67....an absolute certified steal.

Now I have a few bucks leftover for lights and corals and fish.
