Fro had a date last night......

She invited me over, made me dinner, we watched a bit of tv. Then..... GAME ON!!!!
(I hope you people understand the bases as compared to girls)

So I let the first 2 pitches go by without a swing. Then I cracked the 3rd pitch into deep left field. I had a standing double but the 3rd base coach was telling me to stop. SO I hung out on second for a while. Finally got the signal and went to steal 3rd. I was almost thrown out but I did make it back to 2nd. This happened again, but on the 3rd try, I slide into 3rd hand first. The damn 3rd baseman was all over me and I didn't even have a chance to get comfortable. Since the game was going into the final inning, I went for home and was thrown out.

Oh well, I'm sure I'll see her again before the playoffs.

Well, you know girls! This wasn't our first date or anything, but we hadn't seen each other in a couple of months. We started to go out over the summer (base hit, stranded on 1st), but ended up involved with other people. Well, we're both single now and it just went from there.

She said that she had to be a good girl. She didn't want to have sex the first time we've seen each other in 3 months. I told her we could wait until midnight, then it would be a whole 'nuther day.

I think next time I'll be sliding into 3rd head first. Then I'll go for home plate.

The good news is that Fro has another game to be scheduled with another team. And I'll be going for some pickup games this weekend now that my buddy has a place in a complex downtown with a hot tub and indoor pool.

fro if you can slide head first into third base and the slide itself is beautifully executed to the point that the third baseman is on the ground shaking, you're like a guaranteed shoe-in for home base. not only that but the trip to home base is like a hell of a lot smoother. you'll just glide on down that basepath effortlessly. i always do a head first slide into third before trotting home.

The headfirst slide into 3rd usually depends on the ballpark I'm playing in. I mean, if it's a clean park and there's not been a whole lotta base runners, then I don't care if she pitches a big fat goose and I knock it out of the park, I'm gonna bellyflop face first into 3rd and take my time before rounding into home. But if the base line has a path worn into it from all the runners and/or it's just not a clean park, then I'll just trot around the bases and do my celebrating at home plate.

As far as the legs go, neither player lost their pants, so she has yet to be impressed/repulsed by the so called "chicken legs".
