One question though ive been working out hard for a while now, keeping the calories high , an keeping the workouts breif an intense do you think i all ready maxed out my genetics, cuz i havent gained size in a while. be posting pics very soon of my scrawny natural ass

Thanks Kevj

welcome bro , and yea i would try switching up your routine or give your muscles a longer break inbetween lifts . ( like days )

Welcome. You can definitely keep gaining for awhile if you focus on the heavy weights, rest a bit more, and cut back on cardio etc., and of course take in more cals.

Just tell yourself you're going to honestly go in and squat or deadlift once a week trying to increase the poundage. Warm up nicely then do 3-4 sets at a reasonably heavy weight, not too many reps, 12-10-8-6 (You can get strong with 20 reps but use this technique sparingly.) Train on other days, of course, but mentally it can help to mainly focus on that one goal of squatting more each week, while letting the other stuff take care of itself. Don't get sucked into doing 6 sets of side laterals and all kinds of other garbage. That may be for fitness bunnies and advanced BB's but for someone looking to build a base it will wear you out.

A lot of the guys you see in the gym doing side laterals and cable crossovers barely ever shrug, and don't know that the traps are a big muscle and can handle (in fact require) heavy weights. A lot of these guys have never even done dips properly to build chest. You can go so far if you know a little about how to build to that next level with the basic heavy movements.

It may seem to you like you've been training a long time, but many guys don't really "fill out" until they reach 23-25 years of age.

Don't overtrain or push past failure, just get the heavy work in and enjoy the progress. Creatine can help with sticking points I found. In 2-3 years you will be 15 lbs. heavier and happy that you waited a bit before making the decision to use AS. At 20 yrs old your nuts are working pretty well for you, do you really want to shut that down for 8 weeks!?! unless you're an Olympic or pro athlete?

Plateaus are normal. I hit one after I started training. Started at 153 lbs. at 5'8", hit first plateau around 165, a year later that was 170, a couple years later it was 176, then with creatine and thanks to Hammer Strength machines and a 2 week trial run of dbol this "plateau" was now 180 or so. At this point I knew I wasn't getting much past 182-185 natural without gaining undue BF, so now I am on a cycle and looking forward to great results. I know a lot of guys don't have the patience to try different approaches in the gym to see how far they can push themselves naturally, but it is satisfying to do so. Whatever you do, don't order AS and figure you will be able to leave them lying around the house without starting a cycle right away. You will be too tempted!

:D
