Frank Zane, anyone know what steroids he used?

Zane's physique is the result of his genetics and to a lesser extent training style. He couldn't have built a Dorian Yates type body no matter what he took, and vice versa.

I think that's a spillover from our society's "bigger is better" ideal. Of course Ronnie's GH Gut should have kept him from winning several of the Olympias, there were better physiques, but the judges want mass and freaky size.......and that is why he wins by default.

Yates, I don't agree with as being in that same group......he won at least two Olympias that he shouldn't have.......torn triceps/biceps and it was plainly obvious that his symmetry had suffered, but politics made sure Yates didn't lose. I don't think Ronnie is a Mr. Olympia......but the criteria has been so perverted that it's really not the Mr. Olympia anymore. What is it?

Mr. Godzilla, I guess......

I'll take an injured Yates over a healthy Coleman anyday , do i think coleman could tear his Biceps/Triceps and have internal bleeding 8 weeks out from the olympia nearly die in the hospital and still have the resolve to come back and win the olympia 2 months later F**k no. Bodybuilding is somtimes more then just physical its about guts and the resolve to over come seemingly insurmountable odds Yates had it like no one else. When yates was healthy he was untouchable and had an all around hardness that coleman has never possessed , what Yates lacked in Genetics he made up for in intelligence and just flat out taking every workout like it was his last one on this planet. That is a MR. Olympia regardless of injury.

That's not what compeition is about. Competition is how you look ON STAGE, not what it took to get there. Nasser looked better than Yates and should have won

Yeah, I can see T3 abuse in Zane... always freakishly lean but never really big, the exact body you'd get with gear and too much T3. And yeah Zane overworked legs, I remember in a video I have of him, he said he used to do 5 sets of leg extensions every day no matter what he trained.

Exactly, Frank Zane's main drug was T3. His thyroid is shut down permanently because of his abuse

I agree w/ baby booey......those two Olympias were gifts to Yates. That year Nasser beat Yates at his own game "mass" and looked better. I just lose respect for a "sport?" when it comes down to politics. I agree that Yates had the drive and determination that few possess, but that doesn't mean he should be awarded the Olympia when his torn biceps/triceps are hanging off like slabs of meat. It was pathetic....
