superdave, I have to agree with 2thick, its probably human nature. I've had girls do it who certainly didn't seem to lack self-esteem once I got to know them.

Don't get me wrong, I like to talk to guy's in clubs but I hate getting hit on. I tjust get old, I guess. Actually, don't you think it would be just the opposite. If I liked getting hit on all the time, then that would mean I needed it for my self esteem. I don't care for un-needed attention from guys all the time to make me feel good about my self.

Yep, I've had the best results by ignoring a womanl until she starts hitting on me, then chat with her about real things without hitting on her. If there is a group of girls, its best to act flirtaous and sexy, but try not to single one out and hit on her. Dispite not actively looking for one-night stands, I'm obviously not going to turn down a good looking woman who obviously wants me to go home with her 9 times out of 10. Anyway birdstang is right, the women who seek the most attention, and love being hit on, are the one's with the lowest self-esteem.

I'd like to point out that not all girls are psychotic. Well, not all girls are THAT kind of psychotic. I, for one, discriminate anyone that hits on me equally, whether he is cocky, ugly, hot, cute, shy or whatnot, unless he makes me laugh within a minute.
Also, a guy that wouldn't see me as the greatest thing to ever grace the face of earth, that wouldn't honestly feel he could spend the rest of his life with me, whether or not I want to, will not get my attention for very long.
