Yes, you read correctly. The other day I went up and chatted with a girl at my gym what follows is the most detailed description possible of the conversation, would like comments and suggesions.
Background: This girl has been at my gym for about 1 1/2 years now. She is very dedicated, and has made a lot of progress on her physique, more than pretty much any other female there.
She is also very pretty.
Lately I've taken more notice of her, and decided that she might make an acceptable girlfriend because she doesn't get all dressed up (non-histrionic), she drives a normal car, not something that would indicate she is into that sort of shit like 99% of my city. I overheard her talking to someone she knew from school and she had a boyfriend for 2 years but they broke up mutually for some reason after HS.
Anyway, she has smiled at me a few times in the past, me being a dumbass always just stared back. She is not flirty and rarely goes up to talk to anyone.
Now, to the actual conversation. It was chest day, I was looking nicely pumped and all. I saw her doing freeweight squats with a 35 on each side, ASS to floor, and I thought to myself, "Damn, any chick that does freeweight squats like that has got to be GF material."
So, I see her resting after a set of DB lunges. I walk over to her and:
Frackal: "Hey, can I interrupt you for a sec?"
Girl: "Hi sure."
F: "I wanted to tell you I think it's awesome to see a woman doing squats like that, not many women mess with freeweights here."
G: (She seems to be nervous and surprised but also flattered) *Gushing* "Thanks!" *loud nervous laughter*
(Then I see her glance down at my chest/arms area quickly, then her eyes flicker back up to look at me)
F: "So what are your goals here? You really seem to know what you're doing."
G: *same laughter and gushing* "Thanks! thanks yes well my goals are to stay like this *looks down at self* or maybe a little better. I read a lot of magazines and watch people here"
F: "So how old are you?"
G: "I'm 19..."
F: "Oh yeah so we're the same age...you know most kids our age only last a month or so."
G: *same nervous reaction* *laughing loudly* "Oh yeah I know."
F: "So what's your name?"
G: " says name... What's yours?"
F: "I'm Frackal"
G: "Frackal?"
F: "Yeah... so... where do you go to school?"
G: "names school.....do you go to school?"
F: "Yes at *** and then later maybe onto *** as soon as I figure out what I want to do."
G: *same laughter..* "Just getting general electives outta the way ..." *laughs some more*
F: "Yep..."
After that my retarded self couldn't think of anything to say so we kind of stood there for a couple seconds and then she absently picked up the dumbells and I said "Well I'll let you get back to your workout."
"Oh ok thanks."
Hmmm...now, my impression was that she was flattered, receptive, asked questions about me, but seemed to be very uncomfortable and/or nervous...this could be good or bad, hopefully good...
So what do you guys think after all that? Gimme some decent responses too.
