Just an update. About 2 weeks in, and I've visibly noticed fat loss in all my trouble areas. Still got more I want to lose, but it looks like I'm headed the right direction. It looks like I may have enough to run 6 weeks, so I'll likely extend it that far. I plan on dieting like I have been for another week, and then I plan to switch to a cyclic ketogenic diet to see what that does for me, in terms of fat loss.
I must say though, in terms of muscle-sparing, I'm VERY impressed. I haven't been paying attention to my calories all the time, and I know there are times when I'm eating 1000 cals or more below maintenance, yet my muscle measurements still haven't changed. Still have 18.5" arms, 28.5" thighs, etc. Total weight loss so far, according to the scale, is roughly 4 lbs. I don't know how much is water, but as I mentioned before, little if any at all of that weight lost has been muscle. Great stuff...I'll keep you guys posted!
