For those with Tatoo's

The_Ghost

High End Bro
Platinum
I am getting a Tat and want to put in on my left delt.

What I a am afriad of it is distorting as I continue to get bigger. Is this a problem, if this can happen then I will put it on my chest or shoulder blade.

Got one on my right delt/upper arms insertion, got it at age 18, hasnt changed at all.
Age 18 I had 17 inch arms
Currently sporting 20.5 and it looks the same. peace

I think this is a common misconception. I have a large tat on my left delt that I got 7 years ago when I weighed around 160 lbs. I now weigh 200lbs and although it is about time to touch up my tat, it is not due to any stretching. I have 4 tats all over and your tats will grow along wit you.

Thanks bros, just what I wanted to hear!! I was hoping that was the case and you proved me right.

Now I can get my X-mas gift to myself.

Karma to both of you!

tattoo's

They actually get better as skin grows small details come out more as skin stretches and tightens.

On the flip side if you get a tattoo and say your arms 20" and you shrink to say 17", very small details look more like a blob or blur and loose details.

It looks really nice is if you got a lot of colors and tan easy in sun and use the strongest sunblock and just put on tat's and they will stay nice and bright even thou rest of you tans.

Its kind of freaky to see a dark completed person with a real bright vibrant tat.

Touch ups are easy and fast and cheap from a good tat dude.

I would do every couple of yrs if needed.

Cool, yea I really like the bright vibrant red, I am also always tanned and get even darker in the summer.

Here is a question for ya, when I get it done do I have to miss any time from the gym or anything for it to heal?

no you won't need take time off.
Yes you will think you will because it will be an open wound, a big scab will develop and will be sore (a bit) at night and you will want to baby it a bit.
But it will do no damage if on arms to curl and get all pumped up it will do very little harm and most artists have you come in a second time to re-touch in week or 2. It will itch don't' scratch.

The only thing I can say might be bad is if you have one done say inside of bicep and you job entails 10 hrs of constant picking up heavy boxes and will rub layers of skin and possibly in on occasions. So if your gonna be doing a lot of rubbing or abrasion within a few days of when done you may want to reschedule at time when your not gonna have to to let ink set in skin.

o and try not to let people touch it for a few weeks people tend to just reach out and touch em but its very un stearle as its an open wound to let germs get in. I wear a flannel shirt over it (no bandage) to keep tat clean and from airborne infections to viruses.

Did you know it takes almost a yr for a tattoo to fully heal.

thanks a bunch for all the info, much appreciated.

Dangerous is right. Taking good care of your fresh ink determines how well it heals and looks in the end. My artist has me use a vitamin A/E gel the first couple of days then just keep it well moisterized with skin lotion after that. Keep it clean! And don't pick at it when it scabs over and starts to itch!
BTW, I had a new one done last night and I will be in the gym tonight....it just feels a little like a rug burn at first.

Also when fresh don't use much petroleums based products. Neosporyn name brand has to much the generic always was better like walmart brands for some reason the name brand tends to have oil based petrolatum base to high and ink is oil based and can draw to much ink out.

I used both no-patrolium w/ vitamin E, aloe and wheat germ oil work well also but need more frequent applications as you don't want it getting to hard and dry nor to wet, blot area afterwords don't scrub hard 1st day just come home and wash with tips of fingers with an anti-bac soap (most soaps are, blot area when done and let dry apply lotion of choice, no preperation-H many swear by it its no good!

After a few you learn how it shoud heal and feel.

I have 4.

-Italian Cornigiel [the pepper with a crown] with green, white, and red jewels on the crown on my right shoulder.

-Irish Cross on my right shoulder blade.

-Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes doing a push up on my right pec.

-Eagle, Globe, and Anchor on left shoulder.

Experienced weight gain and loss since I've gotten them and nothing is distorted. I'll be getting a bull dog on my left shoulder blade, and "USMC" in bleeding old English letters on my forearm over the holidays.
