For those on HRT/TRT

How did you get going on the program. I just can't see my doctor being ok with this. Also how much is covered by blue cross or whatever your provider is? What doses do they allow or give? Thanks Jim

Can't tell you about insurance, but without, it's about 80 bucks for 1000mgs.

Standard dosing is 100mgs a week.

Have some dexx or aromasin on hand and use UNLEASHED, POST CYCLE and Dermacrine throughout along with an occasional shot HCG.

That's the best HRT you can do.

For "cycles" simply double the dosage of test, add BIG BLAST, VIGOR and if you can swing it, some Primo. No more than 8 weeks twice a year to add a little extra muscle.

your dr wont help u much you need 2 find some one who specializes in HRT/TRT.im in the same situation. my doc wouldnt help 4 shit. think he just wanted my copay so he could bill ins.

PM me, I can help bro

Nelson is that like a 100mgs a week for life or do they like you to come off. Also what test esters?

Yep, for life. The only time I don't take a shot is the week I do HCG and even that week I might do 50 mgs..

It's almost always enth, but sometimes they'll give me cyp since it's essentially the same thing, regardless to all the debate.

First you need blood work. Then if your test is below normal then you'll consult your doctor. My consultation is Monday.

Here in Vegas there's a Doc that specializes in HRT. Rumor is he works with Jay Cutler. I know he works with at least 3 powerlifters in my Gym. He's not on my insurance plan, so I'm not messing with him.
Besides, I suspect it's because of docotors like him that the HRT clinics are getting busted recently. Writing scripts for people who really don't need it.

Being older helps. But if you go to your Dr. complaining of low libido, etc. it helps. Of course he will check your natty test levels.
I was borderline low so Dr. put me on Andro Gel . It worked well, but it's messy. I asked my Dr, if I could just inject instead.... So he showed me how to shoot, and put me on 150mg/wk. That was about 4 years ago. up to 200mg/wk now.
I run 2 full blown cycles a year so I have to "augment" my supplies, otherwise I get Pharma grade test year round. I do 1000 iu's HCG/ wk too.
He does my bloodwork every 6 months so I have to time it so I'm not too jacked. Usually 6 - 8 post cycle. Lipids, liver enzymes, BP and PSA are main concern. So I take a ton a supplements. So far, so good. I went to a urologist. They are more likely to give you some Test than an endo, IMO.
PM if you want.

Best thing to make certain is to see a HRT specialist as they are obviously more inclined to get you started even if your test levels are "reasonable" dependent upon age of course.

Nelson has told you everything else though and he's spot on.

I am going to be 40 in june and just had blood work. My test levels are mid range. I dont know if i like the idea of test year round. Will that perminantly shut you down? Nelson without getting too personal was it because you wanted to or you had too? Thanks for all the info

Once you're on HRT how often does your doc check your test level? How do you go about cycling on HRT? What if the doc sees your levels are through the roof?

What exactly is "mid-range"? 300 range? 400 range? 500 range? if any of the above, for the most part, you don't need / legitately qualify for HRT... and HRT is not meant to be a "sporadic therapy" .... you're either on it or not... if you're looking for a periodic "boost", then that's cycling and it's a whole different story.

I found a endo who prescribes my Andro Gel. I run a 10 week cycle on test/tren and then PCT and then its time for my blood test. By this point I have returned to normal and my blood test comes back normal to low.

Alright, since I'm not one to duck a direct question...

I went on HRT at age 47. I'd been through some personal trauma and everything was out of whack. My T levels were on the low side. (If I recall it was 350). I still wasn't clinically deficient so you could say I "wanted" to go on but only because at that point it seemed they'd never get into the "high" range again. I am adamantly against men under 40 going on HRT unless absolutely necessary. Even if you're low, you have a good chance to get T back up to a respectable level.
